Any foil ready board built in the last 6 or 7 years would more than likely never break. All the brands build them reasonably strong.
Anyway sounds like you have options.

Not sure of your location Mushin.
Best advice I got was to try to ride the same foil as guys I sail together with.
We feed off each other and it helps the learning curve lots.
Don't fall into the trap that it will be much easier if you buy the same foil as the pros use.
High end foils are great but you are splitting hairs in performance until you are pro level.
EG; if others in your area are on IQ Foil that might be the best option.
Cheers

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the help,
OK, progress but still not right. I did the firmware update, it said 'Success' and it will restart. It didn't actually off and was flashing 1 red every 10 seconds continuously. I let it run out of battery and recharged it, but it was on again once it got charge...without turning it on. Have redone the firmware and now have the same 1 red flash every 10 seconds. ?
Any more thoughts. Thanks

Bin job 😂

Big dollars, it would be great if you could test them [maybe a friends] before purchasing.
Be worth travelling to test to avoid disappointment. Or get a more experienced rider to try your Alpine.

Hi Mikey, Thursday I suggest launching around 1pm.
NOTE you want to be out of the water again by 4pm as the wind can drop out around then.
If you plan to head out to the end markers start heading back in no later than 3pm.
I am in town for a few days from tomorrow and plan to sail (windfoil) launching about 1pm ish, I will be heading straight out to end markers, (about 2km from the boat ramp launch)
Hope to see you on the water 😎
