Barcelona World Race - Strong easterly Levante headwinds in the Straits of Gibraltar have meant that Fran Palacio (ESP) and the delivery crew on Central Lechera Asturiana have had to stop temporarily in Porto Sherry by Cadiz to await an improvement in the weather. Sailing under only short jury rig and engine, it was decided that trying to get through Gibraltar against contrary winds of more than 30 knots was not a viable proposition.
