Chris Stanmore-Major is fourth ocean racer to arrive! The Bassin des Chalutiers in La Rochelle is filling up as the VELUX 5 OCEANS skippers congregate ahead of race start. Yesterday evening British ocean racer Chris Stanmore-Major sailed out of the Bay of Biscay into the historic French port, the fourth competitor to arrive. Already in La Rochelle, the home of the VELUX 5 OCEANS, are American ocean racer Brad Van Liew and Canadian yachtsman Derek Hatfield. Poland's Zbigniew 'Gutek' Gutkowski arrived as the sun rose yesterday morning, just 12 hours ahead of Stanmore-Major who came in at 8.30pm with the ...
