Beginning of Kitesurfing from old Tracks Magazine

Check out this article on "Kite Sailing" in the January 1991 issue of Tracks Magazine.

An old article that highlights how novel kitesurfing was when it first started.

"Look out for one at a beach near you soon" - what an understatement!

As evidenced by the busy forums, classifieds & photo gallery on this site, Kitesurfing went to indeed become a massive sport and a worldwide phenomenom.   Whilst it may have lost the title of "Fastest growing watersport" to Stand Up Paddle, Kitesurfing continues to grow.

Australia is one of the best places to get involved in kitesurfing with long white sandy beaches, ideal seabreezes, waves and a great climate.

If you've not tried and are interested in having a go, read the kitesurfing articles section for more info on how & where to get started.
