In the Clear - NSW Maritime and NSWKBA's video for kiters

With kiteboarding becoming so popular around Australia, metro beaches like Dolls Point in Sydney are becoming hotspots for potential incidents involving kiters. So to prevent accidents, and provide a helpful set of rules for new kiteboarders, NSW Maritime have released this short video!

You know kiting has hit the big time when it gets it’s own video from NSW Maritime. Either that or the potential for incidents is becoming more and more likely! But, thanks to this great little clip from the NSWKBA, kiters can now follow the ‘CLEAR’ steps to a safe kiteboarding experience. Conditions, Lookout, Equipment, Attitude, Respect are the words to remember, and “Be in the CLEAR” is the slogan. Narrated by James Grundy from Alliance Gear, this campaign is spoken in the true language of a kiter. They even use Seabreeze.com.au for their weather forecast like all good kiters! The importance of lessons is stressed, and so is talking to a local to get the best information on how the spot works.

Check out the video and if you know someone who needs a little refresher on the rules, or is getting into the sport, pass it on!
