The Airush Lab Rat Survey - Join the Airush R&D Team

Join the Airush R&D department for a day

Every year Airush kiteboarding does a little survey, they ask all kinds of questions about your kiteboarding habits and what you’d like to see from them over the coming year, and then they implement those suggestions into their product lineup.

That’s how all companies should work right? Well they don’t, Airush set themselves apart from the rest by offering up the survey to not only their dealers and team riders, but to the whole world. This means they’ll get both the good, and the bad feedback from the average punters out there, not just hot shots and shop boys.

It’s a great way to get lots of feedback on not only their products, but how their dealers themselves are doing, how the brand is perceived in countries around the world, and what the customers want to see developed for the coming season. Questions in there included ones such as rating the durability and performance of their products, as well as what a customers next purchase is likely to be.

On that note, interestingly one of the questions that really jumped out was the addition of a foil board to the questions asking about future purchases. Like most of the big brands like Cabrinha, Naish and North, Airush are obviously also thinking about introducing a foil to the range for 2015. It’s considered a very high risk move for the companies right now, because moving on it too early could mean wasted development if the idea doesn’t take off. But then again, what if they’re a year late to the party and get left behind? It will certainly be interesting to see where Airush will go with it!

So if you’ve got a spare 5 minutes, (really, it only takes that long) and feel like helping out one of the industry leaders in their research and development for 2015.
