Youri Zoon settles into his new job with Best kiteboarding
Maybe this is why you're in a paddock Youri...
After the huge split from long time sponsors Slingshot, Youri Zoon has got some pretty big expectations from both the general kiting public and Best. They paid top dollar for the world number one to join their team so you can expect some big things in the coming months as Best work to improve their reputation and brand status in the sport.
This week, we see Mr Zoon doing just a little jump in New Caledonia. Well, by little we mean over the whole island of Mbkue at low tide. No small feat on the best of days, and even harder to do when there's a camera pointed in your direction. As we say with all these kinds of videos, don't try this at home, or at the beach without first winning a world championship. After all, this guy has done that, he's probably got the skills to perform such a stunt.
He played it pretty cool though, saying today on Facebook:
"Made a small jump over some island!, jepp my new 9m GP from Best is flying pretty good!"
