The Ocean Racing Club of Victoria is delighted to announce that the Notice of Race for the 2010 Melbourne to King Island race is now available at orcv.org.au

King Island is roughly halfway into the world-renowned Bass Strait, on its Western side, facing directly into the Furious Forties. It also famous globally for its amazing beef, sensational cheese, scrumptious crayfish and unique seaweed, although it is up to you how much you eat of the latter!

The other thing people are going to be keen see unfold with this race, is just who the next person to get their hands on a McConaghy Melbourne Offshore Championship forestay flag is. When you win the PHS Division, you get one of these. Get enough of them by the end of the season and you get your hands on one of McConaghy's carbon fibre steering wheels.

Thus far, Pretty Woman, Stampede, Caledonia, Ingenue and Jazz Player all have one each. With just three races left in the ORCV's 2009/10 season, you could be the winner with just two of these highly sought after 'battle flags'.
