AWESOME AKGAZCIYAN

Freestyle action of the highest level from Port-la-Nouvelle, France.

Nicolas Akgazciyan (Starboard / Point-7 / Maui Ultra Fins) has clearly had no problems adjusting to his new sails, since recently joining the Point-7 team. The Frenchman started the 2012 PWA Freestyle World Tour in fine form and his efforts were rewarded with fifth place.

Akgazciyan is now back in France training for the next freestyle event in Fuerteventura, which takes place in July. The beginning of June saw strong winds and flat water at Port-la-Nouvelle and Akgazciyan takes full advantage of the perfect freestyle conditions, he throws down sick one handed burners, double air funnels and radical konos on both tacks in an accomplished display.

The action is filmed at close quarters and this really makes you feel part of the action. Much of the footage featured is in slow motion and this gives the video an added dimension, because the clip also doubles up as an excellent tutorial for some of the biggest moves on the tour right now.
