FANTASTIC FERNANDEZ

Victor Fernandez delivers a brilliant display of down the line riding in Portugal

The 2010 PWA Wave World Champion, Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / North), spotted the perfect forecast for a secret spot in Portugal at the beginning of January and after the long drive from Spain he was rewarded with perfect down the line wave riding conditions.

Fernandez pushed Philip Koster (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) all the way in 2012, but eventually the Spaniard had to settle for second place. In classic Victor style, Fernandez gouges the waves to pieces with fluid aggressive turns, as well as throwing effortless goiters and radical frontside wave 360s.

The Vice-World Champion will be looking to regain his world crown in 2013, so prepare yourselves for another monumental battle between him and Koster. Make sure you tune in to all of the PWA Wave events to see how the dual unfolds.
