Peter Volwater (Fanatic, MauiSails) is the latest PWA tour member to file a sponsorship transfer. Volwater had been with his last board sponsor for quite a few years, but having seen Fanatics line up for 2010, he couldn't turn them down.

Fanatic had been lacking a top 10 PWA slalom sailor, and now they have one. Volwater ended the year ranked 8^thafter some impressive racing in 2009, which included an excellent 5^thplace finish in the relentless winds of Pozo.

Fanatic Brand Manager, Craig Gertenbach commented:

"I'm very happy to welcome Peter to our Fanatic team. Peter and I first shared waves together in my hometown of Cape Town when he was just starting his world cup career. I knew then he would be one of the world's best and he proved me right. So I'm really glad to have him on our team, he will be a great boost to our new range of Falcon Slalom boards, but also as a top wave sailor we can expect a lot from him in the future, both in results and R&D!"

Volwater also commented on his transfer:

Armed with the new Falcon range of slalom boards, we're sure Volwater will be up there with the best of them on the race course, but lets not forget he's a top wave sailor as well!
