Geraldton Artificial Surfing Reef Petition

With the Government's Oakajee Port Project rapidly gaining momentum, get involved in saving this special windsurfing location.

"Attached is the petition and support material for the Spot X "Spring Campaign".

Signatures are being collected Australia wide and overseas, Overseas until the end of October to present to the Premier in November. Please help us by printing off a page or two and getting some signatures from fellow Surfers/Windsurfers. Please also forward this email to your friends wherever they live.

The Shire of Chapman Valley Coastal Management Strategy supports us in our quest for an Artificial Reef to replace Spot X which will be destroyed with the construction of the Oakajee Deepwater Port.

We need to back this up with a strong show of support with the petition. Our aim is to have a 300 metre Gnaraloo style left hander within close proximity to Geraldton to compensate us all for the loss of the unique Spot X reefs. This will be of benefit to both Surfers and Windsurfers alike.

Please return the petitions as you fill each page so they don't get misplaced or lost.
