Qld: Calling all interested juniors/youths - State Squads

The aims and objectives of Yachting Queensland Windsurfing Development Program 2008-2013 is to deliver an effective pathway from junior through youth to open age windsurfing.  

The Program?s objectives are:  

• To guide young windsurfers to participate at the level of their choice;
• To provide a framework and pathway for youth competition in Australia to enable choices when approaching open competition;
• To increase participation rates of youth windsurfing at State, National and International levels; and
• To build and support a development pathway for Junior to Youth and Youth to Open age levels by promoting coaching and mentoring programs.  

You do not need to be a top windsurfer to join the program, in fact we have squads for beginners, intermediate as well as advance riders. So as long as you are interested in the sport, we should have a spot for you.

Training will mostly take place from RQ at Manly or north Brisbane.

September this year we shall be selecting the State Team to compete at the Nationals in Perth in January 2009.
