The King Of Rock

The King Of Rock

Even windsurfing's head honcho has to endure the odd encounter with the rocks, as Mr Robby Naish shows us?

At 45 years old, Robby Naish still seems immune to any sort of ageing process that regular mortals are so susceptible to. When not extending the tentacles of the ever expanding Naish brands, the iconic waterman is still devoted to progressing the sport's many and diverse disciplines.

Footage taken at Hookipa beach park on Tuesday 10 March shows the big man very much in the groove, however there are elements of reassurance to be gained from the video.

We're not talking about fully engaged bottom turns though; arguably the most pleasurable moment in the footage is when Mr Naish takes a trip to Hookipa's infamous rocks. It just goes to show that even those in windsurfing's highest echelons can come unstuck at their local break.

Here's to embracing the ?move' that unites all windsurfers, the wipeout.
