When Was Your First Time?

The PWA's wave fleet share tales of their first time visiting the hallowed waters of Cabo Verde.

While the competitors enjoyed some down time during the 2009 Cabo Verde PWA World Cup, the event's film crew were busy hunting down the big names to ask them the age-old question, when was your first time?

In the last of the event's official video edits, the likes of Josh Angulo, Francisco Goya, Danny Bruch, Victor Fernandez, Kevin Pritchard and Marcilio Browne reveal when they made their first pilgrimage to the now infamous windsurfing archipelago.

Perhaps our favourite description comes from Josh Angulo, who's still to pack his bags after his first visit to Sal.

"I came to Cabo Verde eleven years ago, met my wife right here on this beach in Ponta Preta, fell in love with this spot, the place and the people - been here ever since."
