I added some footpad ramps to help with the angle of the board. This was my first homebuilt board, and the deck was a bit too flat. The ramps helped provide a better foot angle on the board, which made it a lot more comfortable, and helps provide a better surface to drive the board forward. The Severne Fox, Future Fly Dark Horse Slalom and other boards use a similar footpad ramp. The ramps definitely made the board more comfortable and worked well. In this video the wind was a gusty 15-20 knots, with 6m sail.
