In reality unless you are already heavily involved with an Olympic sport you have bugger all chance of winning a medal
90% of Olympians don't win a medal, so maybe set your sites to just become an Olympian.
Find a sport you where you can get to a standard to meet the Olympic qualifying standard, identify some long lost lineage from a country which has a particularly weak team or who are open to bribes.
Change nationality to said new country, pay said bribe, book in for your Olympic tattoo, simples
Perhaps clay target shooting, not as difficult as air rifles or archery because you have pattern of pellets and you only have to break the clay in two to have succeeded.
See you all in Brisbane

You do realize the #claytarget is moving?

Your best chance Harrow would be in the rowing team as the dude that sits at the back of the boat, dosent row and just yells at the rowers to row faster.
The only skill required is to start to suffer from anorexia a few months before the race.

I can only hope fishing becomes an inclusion at some point soon.

Yeah but they drug test for blue pills so you'd have no shot.

Imagine those chosen for the 10m diving board. They'd have to push some of them off.

In the 1906 Olympics they had duelling.
People just faced each other and shot with wax bullets .
Maybe get that going again and that's the sport for you Harrow

In case you thought I was being cynical or rude about clay target shooting, take up golf
Rory Sabbatini
Sabbatini was born in Durban, South Africa, and has Italian, Scottish and Irish ancestry.
In December 2018, Sabbatini became a citizen of Slovakia, the home country of his wife and stepson.[17] Sabbatini's wife's cousin is the vice president of the Slovak Golf Association. Initially, there was speculation that the move was made in order for Sabbatini to qualify for the 2020 Olympics, but he said it was to help grow the game in that country. The Olympics use the OWGR (Official World Golf Ranking) for qualification and the 201st-ranked Sabbatini would not have qualified for South Africa with ten others ahead of him.
One good round on Sunday and he got a Silver

I'm now thinking freestyle BMX. The intent of Harrow's question is what could a normal person learn and not require insane fitness or 20yrs of practice. I reckon a normal fit watersports person could make the jumps and massive foam pit, jump all day for the next 4yrs. You'd get pretty damn good

What is the consequences of missing a clay versus not landing one of those treadly flippy things.....
Eventually you need to progress out of the foam pit

Having wasted yet more hours this afternoon waiting for the wind to be the right strength and consistency, I reckon that Beach Volleyball is the sport to try

I think the bmx freestyle has the largest consequences of ALL the sports if you fail.
Not only do you not get a medal, you also spend the rest of your life in a wheel chair.
Massive skill and courage on display. Was incredible to watch live.

I am watching the womens golf right now, some of them have quite average fitness. Surely this is something the average bloke could do with a few years practice. Much more achievable than aiming for a mens golf ticket.
