I knew that guy a long time ago, can't remember much, I was just a little kid.

My fathers name is James Bond, he often calls himself Jim or Jimmy Bond so people don't hang up on him.
At an olympic games years ago there was a russian gymnist named Ivon Avankov, sounded funny when the russian commentator said his name with an accent.

Actually knew a Wayne Kerr - a couple of years ahead of me in school - how could any parents do that. The funniest thing is - he's a lawyer here in Perth.

How about funny names given their profession:

Not really funny but his rank was Seaman, and then able Seamen

Making him addressed as Semen Stains....

Mate named his two children Ella and Sam. Was on a flight over East when the Hostie asked what his childrens names where, He told them Ella and Sam.
She came back a few minutes later with some drawing toys, and said thats funny, naming your children SamanElla Nether he nor his wife had ever put two and two together re the name flip flop
