So if i work at a good or bad school and or im a good or bad school teacher I SHOULD BE EXPECTED to have a pay increases and lets remember what ..... pay taken from them (sure) ......whats say you remind teacher voters of that ..................
Righto Miss Gillard ...........as if you can do this efficiently, effectively
Teachers get slabs of holidays and you get payed well and sorry Miss Gillard, they get payed to do a job ,good bad or indifferent ,just like everyone else.
I used to think the same till my wife became a teacher 1 1/2 years ago.
Now i see the truth
For us it was 4 years without her income whilst she was at uni.
She now has a hec debt of $24,000
She starts at school at 8 am and leaves at 5pm.then spends another 2 hrs a night marking and planning the next days lessons. She also spends at least 1/2 a day on the weekend getting organised for the following week.
last year she spent at least $3000 of her wage on resource's for her classroom as the school doesn't have the funds.
As she cant work country due to my work she is not guaranteed a job.
Every year she has to look and apply for a new job with no guarantee of placement or fulltime work.
And all this for $50,000 a year. yeah killing it
I couldn't image looking after 30 kids all day most people complain when they only have 2.
Sure the holidays are good but she sure needs them when they come around
She loves her job dosent complain about her wage or hours just the lack of funding for the classrooms.
She works for the gov after all surly she shouldnt have to supply her own tools.Do the council workers buy there own shovels and brooms to lean on i think not.
What im trying to say is not everything is always as it may seem.
Sure there is some Sh1t house teachers out there and they should be sacked but lets not lose the many good one out there.
As i said the holidays are good but as you know the government never give you anything for free.
