Thanks guys for the feedback. I couched this question on this site to get some idea of an average view of society. A sociological snapshot as it where.
What I was looking at was the acceptance/rejection of fundamental truths.
For the record I kite and surf as well as SUP.
At no point did I attempt to denigrate women with my statement.
On the contrary if you read my post properly I actually laud them.
It is possible to make an observation without debating it.
So what did you conclude about agreement/disagreement with your postulate?
1 Women are not equal to men.
As much as they try and as much as they would like to think so they plain and simply are not. I would say they are 9/10s of men. That isn't to say men are better than women. I would class most women that I have met as BETTER than most men I have met in that they are more caring, kinder, etc. But if you took the best male cook/surfer/knitter/tennis player/artist/musician/politician/anything and matched them against the best female then the male would dominate."
I have to say the denigration that you deny is implicit in your post. Perhaps it could have been phrased a little better. But what can you draw from the responses you got. We all pretty much agree that women and men are different (surprise surprise) but you imply a value to that difference which is to say that women are inferior beings. Is this your fundamental truth? I'm sure there are some men who would agree with that. I think they would be unlikely to air such a view here though so your survey is indeterminate.
It boils down to a compliance with a value set. If one's values are totally oriented towards male dominant skills then women will appear by that measure to be inferior. Is this bias perhaps what you are trying to discover?
