Izzy is fighting for all of us

The gaystapo of the rainbow fascists need to be stopped

Free speech is a pillar of democracy and western civilization

Izzy's new donation site has already raised well over a 1million dollars

I did not donate to his 'go fund me' page but I will be donatimg his new one

Any money not used to support the ridiculous cost of this historic case will go to grassroots football. Any money awarded to Izzy will go to charity.

Got onboard everyone, free speech if for everyone

Free speech isn't the really the issue.

It's the reaction of whoever it's directed to.

The modern world is infinitely more complex than when the bible (it's not a history book) was written.

The intellectual diversity of humans today is extreme compared to back then.

So any quoting of the bible in today's world will be problematic by default.

Why are conservatives so dishonest. Like you have a real and deep interest in Womens rights......Yeah my arse.

So you're cool with the wife being persecuted for someone else's words? Like she's his property, right? She's not her own person, she's just his responsibility?

At Kamikuza: almost certainly definatelly slightly miffed. But thats not what we are talking about, we're emphasizing the deplorable human rights history of the church. On the other hand you do bring up a interesting question: what do the gays/drunks/adulterers think about his silly yibber yabber? As a drunk I volunteer that I dont give a fig what a tv clown/entertainer has to say about my supposed after life- if heaven is chockers full of christians and no alcohol I hope he is right and I go elsewhere. Anyway thats it for the drunks maybe we can have a rep for the gays and adulterers?

You might be, but I'm amazed at the magic spells that man can weave, that he can cause actual harm by spouting a few lines of Iron Age nonsense on the Twitter. I mean he didn't even have to open his cock holster. Such powerful magicks.

Heaven would have to be the most boring place you can imagine as a reward for piousness and righteousness, which really is a sad comment on the imagination of the Christians. I think 72 virgins -- even if they're just other single ex-Jihadi young men -- would be far more entertaining.

Unless the first one was started by Christians as well, then no it isn't. And if it was, why make such a point of it the second time around?

If the religoloonies actually think this is persecution, they should be leading the charge not hiding behind free speech proponents.

...and aren't you the slightest bit concerned that the right wing and conservatives are now the bastions of free speech? Cos I am.

...you think that lot were white?

Anyone who believed the whole thing in its entirety would be deeply confused and disturbed. So even those who adhere to it (and other holy books) the closest, those we label fundamentalists, are still at best cherry-picking the least.

Many do claim to believe it word for word though.

Thanks to the left wing rainbow gestapo Izzy's fundraising became front page news.

In three days the original gofundme site had raised $700,000.

In less than two days the new ACL site has raised $1,500,000.

The thought police couldn't have planned better publicity for Izzy if they tried

Well I'm sure go fund me block out has made this a world wide phenomenon.

So I'm now definitely sure the money will be raised .

Pope might see it & chip in he's got the cash to splash.
They all have the cash to splash
Hill song could pay for the lot out of petty cash .
And They are small fry.
This is the perfect platform for hard core straight edge ****ers .
They will get more media attention than any suicide bomber & it will be so much more of a positive spin .

Somehow I just picture in my head some evangelist radio & Tv & internet preachers asking for donations now ,the closer it gets the more it's debated on main steam media World wide & I bet we suddenly see an influx of Australian media support because it will be condemned world wide.

And let's face it

There is no way that this hasn't been orchestrated right from the start .
Been some smart people managing this right from the first stupid post .

But to put it on what I see is my take on it
Seriously do I now need $3mill to go for unfair dismissal ?
So how is the amount to be raised calculated?
They know that's rugby Australia budget?
If they raise more will rugby fold is this poker or a legal battle?

No, it was written by Mediterraneans/Arabs/Persians as a mix of stud book, history, poetry and law.
White people didn't get much of a look at it until Emperor Constantine caused the Roman Empire to turn Christian sometime in the 300s

I still reckon that Folau should be paying income tax on the donations

oi lets stay on topic here- everybody knows you can justify anything you want in the bible: historically it has been used to justify apartheid/slavery/genocide so whatever.
This fund raising thing is amazing yeeeeeewww!! At some point his site was generating a 1000 bucks a minute! I predict it will go even higher as people who get paid monthly contribute in the next week. I'm hopeing some big dog/ fat cat chucks in a mill to out church everybody. The thought of a bunch of christians being seperated from their cash has me so excited I havent laughed this much since brother clement drowned in a mill pond because he wouldnt let go of the sack of salt he was carrying.

I find it hard to believe that anyone educated in the last 100 years believes in religion. Amazing really but there you go. Once again, it isn't about what he said as such, it is about being a good employee. Being the most skillful worker doesn't guarantee you are the most valuable employee. I've seen the most skilled tradesman sacked because he was a cancerous, de-stabilizing presence in the work place. A real turd in the pool... Like Israel, he thought was indispensable. Guess what? He wasn't and could not believe he got the bullet. Neither can Folau. I bet you he didn't think they would sack him with the WC coming up. He was warned, did it anyway and here we are now. Nothing to do with religion though. Just stupidity...

It's the bigoted turds that insist on thought controlling what people say/think that is inspiring the donations.
Personally sent $500 today to the ACL website and voted for the senate proposal on the ACL site.
This is because I find it offensive to be told what I should think by anyone, let alone some gay git.
Also offended by getting SMS's and emails to shut this conversation down and banning Folau's go fund me account.

there was a lawyer type on abc last night saying that $3 million is ridiculous for an unfair dismissal case. $300k would get you high quality representation and bells and whistles effort he said. From his snappy presentation, designer clothes and fancy office it was filmed in - that seems legit

$3m is to go all the way to the high court assuming theres appeals from the loser. Rugby Australia has got the tiger by the tail now and will try and settle before it bankrupts them and Realene loses her job. Joyce and qantas will walk away from the mess they created leaving RA high and dry.

Should have taken a leaf out of NZ netballs handling of it.

Izzy and his backers will never settle - they want the precedent set by the high court.

All in a world cup year hahahahaha

I don't think anyone is upset relating to the post, and that is not the point. People are upset that despite warnings Folau refused to abide by the RA and World Rugby Codes of Conduct, which also form part of his employment conditions.

Folau has refused to stop posting them and refused to take them down. So what choice does an employer have in that case? If they didn't sack him then they have to throw out the CoC, and that would breach International Rugby requirements. Noting that the World Rugby CoC is actually stronger on the issue than the RA one.

Nothing to do with religion (except as his motivation to breach the CoC) and nothing to do with discrimination. Purely and simply application of an eventual termination of employment after repeated and deliberate breaches of the CoC.

Spot on. People don't quite get that this is not a case about freedom of speech or freedom of religious expression. No court case will argue those points as there is no law regarding them.

It's an unfair dismissal case and his only avenue is through religious discrimination, and I cannot see how that can be successfully argued.

You can spend $3mil on legals, but wont get any better service than $300k. Someones getting a new penthouse and its going to be either Folau or his Laywers...

RA are f^cking brilliant.

They have managed to take a football code that was on an upward spiral after having jagged two world cup victories in the 1990's and four Bledisloe cup titles back to back from 1998 to 2002 to ranked fifth in the world in 2019 and not having having won anything of significance since the early years of this century.

It now does not even feature in the top 10 most popular sports.

Well done!

For me to expect Rugby Australia to be able to use a bit of diplomacy and make what really is a truly trivial issue disappear is asking a lot of an organisation which has only been able to erode the game it has been chartered to advance.

And to boot shooting themselves in the foot. Anyone who has had the doubtful pleasure of being able to watch Australia or any of her Super teams will appreciate from the numerous pacific islander origin players whom Rugby Australia has had to resort to in lieu of the failure to develop sufficient local talent is basically keeping her marginally competitive.

Given that white colonial types were initially responsible for taking christianity to the islands you would think that their descendants would have the acumen to realise that the path they have taken is unlikely to enamour future prospective talent from those sources.

Of course RA is jam packed with those chappies who frequently wear dinner suits and believe that having a large chequebook will cover all ills.

It has been unable to win anything of value though!

And getting rid of Izzy, probably the best player on the paddock, ain't going to improve the situation!!!

In a world cup year. K^nts should be given a world cup for stupidity!
