As someone posted earlier..... use fuelwatch !!

I get an email every afternoon that gives me the price of fuel/gas at whatever area of servos I choose to use and they also give an indication if one brand of supplier is going to hike their prices.

Fuelwatch doesn't stop the price of fuel from going up but it sure gives you the choice to use the nearest and cheapest if you want.

You have the choice to pick the cheapest so don't just whinge about it us this free service. I'm not sure if it works in non-metro areas but it works for me in the city.....

LNG comes from a hole in the ground.
LPG is a by-product of cracking crude (in a refinery) to produce all the other petroleum products (petrol, lubricants etc). That eternal flame which used to burn down at Kwinana was LPG - a waste product!
About 10 years ago my brother-in-law worked for Kleenheat. Part of his salary package was that he could buy LPG at cost - 5c/litre.

It doesn't work in Albany because they all collude down here. All servos are within <1c of each other and there's no cycle - except that they inexorably rise.

People complain about fuel as our natural resources dictate that we do not have to buy in fuel from overseas .... yet the Govt saw fit to introduce parity pricing long ago, which ties us to the Singapore benchmark in USD
We sell LPG to China for 3c per litre yet it is about 70c per litre for your car. Why?

People complain about fuel as we have a bloody big country and increased freight costs = inflation

People complain about fuel cos when the international price of a barrel of oil goes up so does petrol ..... but when the price of a barrel dropped by 1/3 a few months ago fuel stayed the same! And the ACCC are too gutless to do anything.

People complain about the price of fuel because when it goes up every Thursday and down every Tuesday/Wednesday, that is disgusting. Do you see cabbages, milk or tissues go up on Thurs (most peoples' payday) and down a few days later, every damn week?
Do you see a big hike in the price of tyres the day before Easter and Christmas holidays?

Why was I paying $25 for 4L of motor oil 4 years ago and now petrol has risen 20% ..... but the oil has not?

i meant more along the lines that people waste money on pokies/horses/smokes witch all adds up for a lot more than the increase of fuel

A two speed economy ,here is an idea let West Aust succede from the rest of Australia then they can get on with higher rates whilst we on the eastern seaboard can have lower rates to match our economy ?


great idea-but where all de money gonna come from to prop up the broke states???
