As a city , I never had a problem being there , looking for accomadation , walking between restaurants and pubs, looking for snatch, or most of all ,hitting the nightlife, used to have some cranking bands . Now , I am glad not to be there , the amount of VIOLENT black b@rstards that roam the streets is sickening.
Not to mention (although not so prevelrnt) the others (white VIOLENT b@rstards).
Welcome to the new multicultural society.
Couldn't give 2 sh@ts about the negativity I will cop for these comments.
Ty walking through Northbridge late at night , and tell me you feel safe !!.
My main concern about the changing nightlife out there now is it is no longer safe for families.
How do you fix it??
Just don't go there, It's Rooted

It's Dutch Disease.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_disease

Go the Dutch - but why wait until 2013?

The Netherlands, where six per cent of the population is now Muslim, is scrapping multiculturalism:

The Dutch government says it will abandon the long-standing model of multiculturalism that has encouraged Muslim immigrants to create a parallel society within the Netherlands.

A new integration bill, which Dutch Interior Minister Piet Hein Donner presented to parliament on June 16, reads:
"The government shares the social dissatisfaction over the multicultural society model and plans to shift priority to the values of the Dutch people.

In the new integration system, the values of the Dutch society play a central role.

With this change, the government steps away from the model of a multicultural society.

The letter continues:

"A more obligatory integration is justified because the government also demands that from its own citizens. It is necessary because otherwise the society gradually grows apart and eventually no one feels at home anymore in the Netherlands...

The new integration policy will place more demands on immigrants. For example, immigrants will be required to learn the Dutch language, and the government will take a tougher approach to immigrants who ignore Dutch values or disobey Dutch law.

The government will also stop offering special subsidies for Muslim immigrants because, according to Donner;

"It is not the government's job to integrate immigrants." (How bloody true).

The government will introduce new legislation that outlaws forced marriages and will also impose tougher measures against Muslim immigrants who lower their chances of employment by the way they dress.

More specifically, the government will impose a ban on face-covering, Islamic burqas as of January 1, 2013.(Why wait 15 months?)

Holland has done that whole liberal thing, and realised - maybe too late - that creating a nation of tribes will kill the nation itself.

Australia's future may well be read here.

READERS NOTE:

Muslim immigrants leave their countries of birth because of civil and political unrest "CREATED BY THE VERY NATURE OF THEIR CULTURE."

Countries like Holland and Australia have an established way of life that actually works, so why embrace the unworkable?

If Muslims do not wish to accept another culture, the answer is simple; "STAY WHERE YOU ARE!!"

This gives a whole new meaning to the term; 'Dutch Courage' - Unfortunately Australian politicians don't have the ... guts to do the same.

There's a whole lot of truth here!!!!

Feta cheese is classified as a soft cheese made of 45 to 60 percent fat whole sheep's or goat's milk. The better fetas are aged (but not ripened) 4 to 6 weeks, cured in a salty whey and brine. Known as a pickled cheese, the flavor of feta becomes sharper and saltier with age. It is creamy white in color with small holes, a crumbly texture, and is normally found in square cakes with no rind.

Morons who couldn't get an interview for a job in their home town, flocking to mining centres acting like they are the shnit and all cultured, but hopelessly nouveau riche, buying deli meats when they are clearly devon people...

Parked my car in the carpark at Applecross on the weekend.

Packing up my gear late afternoon it started sprinkling with rain, all the bbq families bolted for they're precious 4wd's. Now if they think a bit of rain is stressful wait till they see what the eye double L have planned for us

I swear nearly every car in the carpark was a near new 4wd.

Got to impress or keep up with the Jones no doubt.

All this i'm better than you cause i own a big 4wd,beautiful big house etc, etc.

Can't wait to see their face's when the shtf.

Perth is okay but last time we were there around 2008 I saw some interesting things. Firstly as written above was the price of tap beer. What the hell is going on there? Is there a massive tax on kegs in WA or something?

Secondly walking around the city and that entertainment area a bit north of the CBD at night was a bit scary. Groups of people and individuals walking around whose idea of having a good time is to stop other people having a good time and hurting them in the process.

Thirdly going to a supermarket in the CBD. Seeing Aborigines openly stealing and consuming food in the shop. I think it was a Woolworths. I was quite amazed when I saw a bloke pick up a bunch of bananas and start eating them while people were just walking around him. I've never seen that anywhere else in Australia.

Sandgropers complain about the traffic. Honestly you have nothing to complain about. The CBD streets are more like the streets in a country town than a capital city with a few cars driving by every now and then. Pedestrians have an easy time of it. The freeways are good and traffic seems to flow. Compared that to Sydney where its normal to take about half an hour to get through five sets of traffic lights in a one kilometer stretch with the traffic backed up for miles.

If there is a shortage of accomodation perhaps there is an opportunity to build a motel or hotel to satisfy the demand.

I hear you dude, you should see the schools here at pick up time in the arvo. 90% of the mums are driving 4WD's and none ever go off the road. Those cars are bottomless money pits. And they cant park or drive.

I say Perth is rooted. Absolutely rooted.

If you are a narrow minded and insular Perth-ite, offended by my assessment and don't think it is then I challenge you -

find a hotel room for tomorrow night, for 3 nights somewhere in Perth, for an amount of money that isn't obscenely ridiculous.

Geez - first time I went there with a large group everyone had a great meal... took the family for my Wife's and daughter's B'day a few weeks later and it was very poor - and $220 for the four of us - just share plate entree and mains. Never again.
