I'd just like to add that there is no way a dole bludger could afford child care, as much as you hate them. (is there?)

Its called JETCCFA allowance all clearly explained on the Centrelink
website.
The dole bludgers of course can't afford childcare, but we can?
Don't worry we can all pay for it instead.
It's free, go to the club, the movies, the beach wherever, all on us.
Yes friends-dole bludgers are the only one's who can afford childcare.
It's free for them as long as they DON"T work.

It is not rocket science to work out the real cost of having a child, yet so many have 1, 2 or 3 children two then receive /expect government assistance. ****s me to tears at times. I actually earn fn heaps (the last social taboo, disclosing how much you earn). It's not that I can't afford it, it's that it is expensive. It is more expensive then the most expensive university degree, for example. It is more expensive than the depreciation on a $150,000 car. Cut those figures in half if you earn less than $150,000 combined.

Are we saying only rich people should have children now? Really?

No!!!! what I say is only peeps that can afford to pay the cost involved should have kids. Simple logic.
I want a 500k yacht......... I can't afford it should the gov pay for it???? i wish!

Why would you need child care if you are on the dole?????
Should single mothers have child care payed by us????

What actually makes me laugh is when those studies come out and put a value of $100 000+ on being a 'housewife looking after children.
Sorry to burst their bubble, but the value of that position is $0 because it is a position they VOLENTEERED for.
