Create a file on your computer called "Julia Gillard".
Move the file to the Recycle Bin
Empty contents of Recycle Bin
The Computer will ask, "Are you sure you want to get rid of Julia Gillard?"
Click "Yes" really hard !
Now you'll feel better !

Then tomorrow, you can do the same for Wayne Swan !

Do you want to format your computer?
"

What should I do?

Oh.... I thought this was going to be a list of things she has done, good and bad.

Hmmmm, good

He he he... just jokes... I am all for the red path, Communism, Socialism, it's all good

I like all this government in my life, tax, tax, tax, tax... I don't mind moving to an Australia where I get 38c for every dollar I earn and the government gets the rest and wastes it on stuff I don't need, and encouraging people not to work.

I lied

Hey loggy, how about a list of good thing Julia has done... A positive thing for a Friday

Julia may not be great.

What is the alternative though???

Does anyone really feel that Tony Abbott is any better???? He can hardly string a decent sentence together never mind run a country.

^^^ I hear ya CMC...

In fact, I hear quite a few Labs people say she is not great, but... Abbott

Simple solution, big shake-up, they all go, no more Julia, no more Swan*and no more Abbott.

The alternative is the Liberal party, much like the Labor party, Tony dosen't make the decisions the party does.

So which party has the better record?

What do you want?

Work - low rate of unemployment - got that.
Growth - got that?
Stable society - yep
Stable banks - yep.

Free speech - tick that one off too.

Democracy - fairy representative on that one too.

Whats the beef?

Funnily enough radmac, just this arvo I read an article from Ross Gittins (y'know? The economics editor for the SMH) which echoed just that sentiment:

www.smh.com.au/business/this-very-lucky-country-enjoys-a-good-whinge-20110703-1gx7i.html

He also wrote a spiel about how the OECD surveyed people in a whole bunch of countries to see how happy they were. Not surprisingly, people in wealthy countries are happier than people in poor countries.

BUT there's a limit.

Australians top of the list and are generally happier than people pretty much anywhere else. The Nordic countries are all near the top as well, despite their generally socialist government (which just goes to show how wrong many of the noisiest people here are).

www.smh.com.au/opinion/politics/to-live-well-getting-rich-is-only-half-an-answer-20110705-1h0om.html

Next time someone here bleats on about "nanny state", just say "Sweden".

I think you have a point - the problem is that I just don't listen to what she or Wayne Swan say. They just appear incompetent.

I voted for Rudd and again for Julia - what a mistake. Labor has blown their big chance.

Still can't bring myself to vote for Abbot.

So it's either Laurie Oaks or Malcolm Turnbull next time round.

Boom Boom no seriously folks

Anyway I posted a pretty decent list of what I thought were some good policy outcomes on another thread so I can't be bothered except to say lets analyze the Rudd Gillard government in the way we used to say 5 years ago. It was the criteria that carried the liberal government for years.
THE ECONOMY. LOW UNEMPLOYMENT.....LOW INTEREST RATES .........GOOD GROWTH....... Stringer, At this point I'm pointing to the scoreboard!

What we need is a government that is willing to point the finger at some other country or group of people and say its all their fault you should hate them, not us. That's the way it used to be done when the "dessicated coconut" was in charge.

Gillard and Rudd have put the country into Massive debt trying to avoid a reccesion and the unemployment etc that come with one.

The thing is, it's like trying to stop the tide, eventually you will drown. At the moment they are on life support (borrowed time if you like) the average thinking Aussie is sick of being treated like a fool and there is no chance of them getting back into power after the next election.

I don't think Abbott is there for the long haul, I think he may be the sacrificial lamb so to speak. Rarely does a leader of the opposition (which ever side) get put up for election as the prime minister without a late change of leadership, just think back.

As for the reccesion, I think the job losses will start soon, they already have around here in the building industry and shop keepers are right on the edge. It's nothing to fear really, it won't kill you but life will get tough for many. Then things will pick up and evryone will happy till next time..

Straight to the top of the class... If it wasn't for that evil, carbon-polluting, environment ruining, dual-speed economy creating, unfair distribution of wealth making resources sector, we'd already be there. The economy is slowing. Growth figures have been lowered from 4.3 to 3%, based mainly on building and retail. Property prices where I live are down 25 to 30%. On the flip-side, there are plenty of bargains in the furniture and electrical stores around inner Perth... Shame they are closing down sales.

The Labs are lucky the truth of their incompetence is hidden behind the skirt of the global demand for resources. All will be revealed one day.

Howard put Australia on course for a deficit when he blew the surpluses on tax cuts for the rich. Costello wrote in his book he advised to bank the surplus but Howard went out and blew it and created the welfare state with midddle class dole. Taxes that low wouldn't cut it when the boom ended. Abbott made it worse when he stopped the resource tax and now wants to hand out my taxes to corporates for his direct action policy. The libs lot couldn't run a fish and chip shop, look at the stupid ideas that cross-eyed half twit, bishop had during the economic crisis. The only country with a stronger economy than Oz is further to the left, the commies. The most right wing countries like the USA have the worst economies.

nothing wrong with unemployment, trouble with people having jobs is they get money and there only a finite amount of it around so the more you can stop people getting the money the more money for the rest of us....like education and healthcare.
