I have the same problem with my wifes cat. Its a Russian Blue and apparantly they are known to attach to only one person in the house.
ours is a russian breed too. WE've decided to get a kitten aswell now. It's going to be mine and I'm going to call it Vladimeer. She's not happy about the name

We are the guardians af all animals great and small. For thousands of years it's been said that cats are the eyes of the gods and they are watching.What will you macho cat haters have to say come judgment day???
At least she brings you toy mice. Our cat loves us so much she brings in either semi alive and scared pooless mice, or dead mice, sometimes with their heads missing. Usually she'll drop them in front of us and go "meow meow", as if to say "look what I've brought you". Sometimes she even hides them under furniture for us to discover at a later date.
