If a kiter who has club insurance collides with a windsurfer,
does the windsurfer get covered for his injuries ?

I kite at my local pointbreak with a lot of poleys at times.
I'm sure these poleys would like to know just how good this WAKSA-brand insurance is.
Anybody in WAKSA with an answer to my enquiry ?

Im sure the poleys that know and sail near you would hope you are..LOL

Im sure you dont have the insurance,,,as you are always quick to bag it out and try and dump on any topic about it..
So why do you care if you will be covered by something you dont have??

So to answer your question,,,,,NO,,,,if you dont have it,,you dont have cover or need to worry yourself if you are covered or not
And if you read the fine print on the policy coverage..
no negative persons or trolls or "my glass is always half empty" people are covered.

Maybe I'm just trying to inform myself about what the policy actually covers. ^^^
Isn't that what most people do when they shop around for insurance ?

Why would they bother? You gronk!
The policy is on AKSA's website for all to read. (It's not WAKSA brand)
Who cares if the poleys know how good it is.

I checked out the AKSA site.
Couldn't find any info on the cover for poleys if you accidentally tomahawk them with your kite.
Can you help me out Dave cause I'm just a gronk.(whatever that is)
lol.

Probably only available to subscribed financial members.

A gronk is a sh1t stirrer who causes trouble out if sheer bloody mindedness.

You aren't really asking to know the answer. You just like to ensure that everyone knows you're alive. :)

WA 2008 - Swimming third party injured during collision with AKSA member – $77,000 paid

An innocent swimmer being hit by an out-of-control kitesurfer in Perth would have been a big news story here in WA. ^^^
There were no reports of this event 3 years ago.
That's because it didn't happen.
lol.
I'm calling bullsh1t on this whole, stupid pimp thread.

I can assure you this case was very real. The injury being a deep slash on the cheek from a fin.

We kept it quiet. Too much bad press around already.

The circumstances: young guy with Lawyer brother bodysurfing on a 30kt day at Brighton with dozens kites out and in front of a no swimming sign.

Resurfaced under the board, my mate the kiter never even saw him.

Contributory negligence? You're kidding. Did'nt even make court. Kiter hits swimmer.......no contest. He got 50, bro took the rest. Hate to think what the legal expenses would be had they gone to court.

Main objectors to the proposed no fault compensation scheme? No Brainer.......the legal profession

Thanks Niall. I wasnt allowed to say anything !!!
Its bloody tough sitting on your hands sometimes.
Glad its out there. Needless to say if it wasnt for the relative involved there would never have been a claim let alone a pay out.
Say no more....

"Dude, check out all the boogie-boarders in the break."

"Wow man, can't they see the No Swimming sign?"

"Dude, it's 30 knots. What are they thinking?"

"Man, stay on sponger-alert, ok. We don't want to accidentally smash into one."

"Right dude, that would be very bad PR."

"Correct man, we could lose access to our precious kiting beach."

"Dude, we need to keep it quiet if we f#ck up, ok."

"Right man, pay the victim off real quick and hush it up. No news is good news."

"But dude, that stupid AKSA mob likes to tell the whole world all about the claim pay-outs and stuff."

"That's cause they are just trying to flog more insurance. It's fear and loathing, man."

"Right dude. But anyway if we smash into a sponger we won't ding our boards, hey?"

"Correct man."

you will never get a thoughtful or sensible reply. He's just wasting your time and emotion.
its not like he is every going to admit to being wrong or apologise.....
