If anyone is interested in getting some amazing aerial shots of yourself or friends kite surfing send me a PM. If you agree to let us use it in our demo reel it will cost you virtually nothing!

We fly an inspire 1 with 4k camera. We use a dual setup with both pilot and camera operator so that we can get shots others simply can't. Hope to hear from you soon :).

Your website does not have an address, or its hard to find, prices are in USD and mention of Hawaii, are you in Hawaii? Your sites not responsive so wont rank well. You need to give your web developer less crack :) Looking forward to seeing your videos :)

Drone at great expense for surfing or windsurfing - yes.

Drone at great expense for kiting where you can put a $200 camera 10m above yourself easily anyway.... why...????

^^^^^Must you poo poo and be so negative on everything?
If you watch the awesome vid posted a bit further above it will answer the question for you markie.

Shows a lot smoother vid that you can see the whole experience instead of the bumpy, make you feel seasick vids when cams are mounted on a poledancers boom/harness or kite lines.

Awesome vid kitedesigner, really enjoyed watching that.

I was asking cos I didn't understand why drone at such great cost, when you guys get such good GoPro footage easier than the rest of us.

Sorry to upset you so easily dude.

Furthermore this is a commercial thread by a non site sponsor so my question remains - do u go for GoPro by self, or expensive 2 operator drone that is hired???? You wanna pay for two blokes and $10K equip to get some shots, Loto, you go for it.
Now the dude offers it for free if you let him use the footage...... if you can get to hawaii lol

Nice footage kite designer. I looked at the OP website and noticed wind needs to be less than 20 mph (17 knots) to fly. I think if you plan on filming kiting or windsurfing, you might be restricted on filming days.

But not worth the money for the cost for filming kites though apparently..... in somes opinion

I think the vid kitedesigner posted of kiteing looks awesome and is worth the effort/cost as much as it is for surfing or poledancing???
Keep the vids coming kitedesigner, great to see a different angle made possible with new technology, even if some negative Naceys dont think its worth the cost to film kiteing.

^^^^ I am not talking about kitedesigner's vid
I am replying to the original poster, who was asking who wants to be filmed with a 2 operator drone. Didn't sound real cheap/
NOR within the rules of the forum as it was commercial.

Thus people may prefer a go pro on the strings, to a flight to hawaii and hiring 2 dudes. But whatever floats ya boat man

What the **** is it with theses ****ing morons and there cameras Taking photos of people and then charging them money to see themselves.
****heads charging 500 dollars for an enlargement Thinks he owns you.

**** right back of to your box .

You're better of asking local photographers if they have a drone as part of their work. Besides, advertising in Sbrz forums as opposed to a proper ad is virtually dumb.

No ones forcing you to buy the shots if they're taken without permission, its your choice if you want them or not

There's a very expensive drone and top-spec Canon SLR camera available anytime for free for Poleys and kiters in Lancelin. Although it's at the bottom of the bay, you just need a snorkel and time to find it.

FYI, Legally there is no requirement to ask permission to take a photo on public land Though Private land owners can restrict photography. If your recognisable face is going to be used in a publication they need your permission.

The vid was not filmed by me fyi, it was done by a good bloke called Pete and his drone, I am in the video though

A bloke John was filming me with his drone, until I turned and my kite line cut the drone in half
I grabbed the drone and swam it in so nothing a bit of glue shouldn't be able to fix

Drones are coming down in price, if you want to charge for drone work you need a special licence which can cost $3000-$6000 I am told

Apparently,

The GoPro company will be releasing it's very own drone next year,

which will further fuel the selfie obsession,

and take chronic narcissism to new heights.

This is true. You're also not allowed to transmit with more than some ridiculously small amount of power for your video feeds (I think it's 20 mW). If you're not licensed, and you're operating an Inspire, then the ACMA might be interested in talking to you...

The regulations are way behind what the technology can offer at the moment.

Mark.. take a step back and look at the whole picture. Where do you sit? Sounds like your not very wanted nor needed among the kite forum. Stick to sail boarding and nail those straight lines at speeds someone could run at.

Sorry dude drank a full bottle of vodka when I posted last comment Just flicked the anxiety and picked up the courage 3 days later to log back in. Well cant of been to bad I have 1 green thumb hahah I guess my point was to get a photo of myself on canvas was 700 bucks for a reprint? As far as im concerned any pic I take of someone

Im willing to give them up free of charge. I think amateur photography is becoming a semi skilled pastime Some of these photographer's are seeking ridiculous prices for there prints.

808 I like What your doing if your into photography but just respect the people who you are taking pictures of I guess its good you have asked Many of them just rock up take photos and expect that you pay them ridiculous amounts for a basic picture. !

In general because photography is becoming semi skilled the price of reprints and photos needs to drop.

Theres been heaps of photos I would of liked to of purchased locally and got framed on a wall but for 600+ $ Rather get something hand painted of of ebay from hongkong the same size for 40$. Does this not register with local photographers?
