Until the car breaks down. That's when you pay extra for service and repairs.
I agree with you about ebay. It makes it easy for us to shop around and hard for the guys in business making a living.
One thing we must consider though is service. If you buy something through an authorised dealer you get warranty, service and usually free advice and help with repairs (and sometimes a loaner kite). If you buy online you are on your own. If someone wants service or advice on a product from ebay then he is gonna have to pay up.
Nobody goes to work for free so we shouldn't expect any business to provide a product or a service without making any money.
