We have had some interest out of victoria, so if you live there and you are interested drop us an email and if we get enough interest we may be able to get there. Probably look at at running it at Torquay or similiar area.
thanks

May i make a small query JimboS?

Lookning at your post count it is seen that at this current moment in time you've made only 5 posts.

Looking at what those post were about were 4 involving the Ryan Riccatelli drama and slingshots "badass, F@!K You" attitude. Then your 5th post is the one on this topic talking about slingshot being w@nkers and wannabees.

Im not immediately accusing you of anything but dont any of you on this forum find it the smallest bit suss? New member on seabreeze with his/her real name not shown whose post involve the bagging of Slingshot. Hmmmmmm sure makes me wonder.

Now on to Ben Wilson, ive had the pleasure of kiting with him a few times and believe me i havnt seen anyone kite in the waves as good as he does. From getting fully barrelled on offsore reef breaks to carving 360 handlepasses he is far from average. His kite control is amazing and theres a sh-t load of things he could teach all us avaerage riders. I'd liek to see you try what he does Jimbo if that is your name.

So basically Jimbo stop abusing forums.....get over it, go for a kite to clear your head and have fun. Becasue at the end of the day that is what Ben Wilsons clinic is all about, improving your waveriding so you get the most out of your riding, have less kitemares and have the most fun.

Props to Wilson, I remember riding waves with him on a kite way back in 2000 or more (back when we had kites that didn't fly). Different style to what I'm into, but definately knows his ****, should be a great clinic!

Hope to see you at Mambo BW.

Laurie can you delete that post by JimboS. Obviously the guy is a marketing manager for a competitive kite company and a complete tool.

The way ben rides effortly unhooked and strapless snapping the waves is unbelievable. A true master of the sport.

This forum is riddled with pimp-daddys, man.
It's chronically diseased with full-blown ADS.
Legit discussion on this forum is now an alien concept.
Troll-on.

Getting surfers into the sport wont do a thing, they are surfers afterall not kiters. Kiting takes a different sort of skill and really has little to do with surfing except wave knowlegde, which even the worst surfer has they are just to crap to use it.
So getting a PRO surfer into kiting isnt going to magically solve any problems that we cant already solve and deffiantly isnt going to progress the style of waveriding anymore. ive seen an unamed PRO surfer learning to kite latley and i think its taking him alot longer to understand it than some of the older guys around here, just because your a surfer doesnt mean your instantly going to be a pro waverider it takes alot of different skills put together.

p.s. what about 360's and mobes off the lip? they are going to need to learn some wakestyle first, so maybe they should wakeboard as well? all kiting styles go hand in hand, there is no easy way in.

Your talking about learning the sport rowdy. Whether they are a pro surfer or a pro wakeboarder when learning the sport they will be nOObs regardless as 95% of learning is flying the kite. After a year of riding a pro surfer will own over the average kiter in the waves as will the wakeboarder with the wakestyle moves.

rowdy is right; a pro surfer is still limited by the kite, there is only so far they can push it before running into the same limitations we all face trying to ride a wave with a kite

i really don't think so dude. maybe im wrong but i can think of a few pro wakeboarders who picked it up and they still aren't owning over anyone. shannon best to name one.
kitesurfing is more about flying a kite than anything else, sure these sports will help to start with but they will still face the same old "kiting" problems in the end.

Sir Rowd is talking out of his ass on this subject from a typical wake style point of view with little knowlege or experience on wave kite surfing.

Good wave kiting conditions, the kite just sits there and stalls down the line, nothing to do with kite skills, its all about how well you ride a strapless surfboard down the line that matters.

90% board riding ,.....only 10 % kite.

Venomguy You're Statement 90% board riding.... only 10% kite is Exactly why I prefer JB's Wave riding Style. 100% board, 100% kite.

The two wave riding Styles in my Opinion should be:
Park and Ride(Ben's style)
Kite Flyer(JB's style)

hahahahah yeh venom dude im talking out of my ass....... as if you would know. come ride with me and then start saying wakestyle this wakestyle that, pretty sure i will school you at waveriding to.

p.s. Its still alot more to do with the kite than what you think, even good surfers around here (and there are a few, one even shapes boards for mick fanning) have alot of trouble waveriding.
