every season someone has to ask "are they made of cardboard" i suppose they set themselves up for that one.

850AUS for a custom, well when u consider that in most other areas a custom anything costs more than a standard mass produced item, so id say 850 is pretty good, considering most boards ive seen are a bit more than that.

as far as testicles, id say you will need big ones to ride the new Pro model as that is one fast bloody board!!

kiteboards are stupidly over priced when u consider the price of a wakeboard. 850 is a good price.

Wakeboards have got to be cheap to try and get people to do it. Very over rated that sport.

wakeboards are a different construction that is a little cheaper.

the supply chain has a little bit less fat on it aswell.

Supply and demand determines the price - wakeboarding has been around a lot longer than kiteboarding so I'm guessing there may be a bigger market worldwide for wakeboards???

If you,re looking for a new board, wait a few weeks for the Coronation boards to hit Oz. Word is they,ll be a similar price to Cardboards. I have to say I have only seen them and not yet ridden one, but judging by quality of construction, technology, and great graphics, I cant wait to try one.

Apparently demos will be available in a few weeks.

a cardboard designed one is good, dont buy a second hand custom one unless you can try it first cus they some times suck due to the buyers lack of boarding designing skills. they are a very strong board, good graphics and reasonable price

Just got my first Cardboard a few months back. Totally stoked with the board and it has surpassed all my expectations. The guys at the factory are really good at converting what you say you want in to a board that delivers. The customer service was phenominal. I've tried and owned quite a few boards over the last few years and this one's a keeper. I also liked the idea of getting behind an Aussie manufacturer. The quality of the board is as good as any Ive seen. At that price its a no brainer.

Yes I sound like a pimp but I'm just really pleased with the board and the service I got. I have no association with Cardboards and I paid full price for mine.

Ditto

Have owned 4 boards, and ridden couple of others brands from mates and cardboards is so far the best i have used for all round conditions...Graphics looks sweet too! Once you get the board you will be pleased.

Well so do I mate, provided they're well made, full bodied and blonde...like susi mai for example.

I'd recommend a carboard to anyone. How is this for service, One Sunday after destroying a board I decided to design and order a cardboard over the net on their site. Five days later after it had been delivered I was riding it! Quality was just as good as most other brands and performance was equaly as good. The only problem I found with carboards was that they offered too many graphic designs to choose from!!!

That, Mr X, is what I call a service!
It has made me think about my next board purchase.

Ive had a bunch of them, and always been

Fittings go together fairly easily compared to most boards n all the construction is great.

Dans a good guy too.If your not happy with your own design custom cardboard your the fussiest mother ever.

A mate of mine bought a cardboard board, had a problem with it and it broke in the middle. Rang Dan and he replaced it straight away no questions asked. Provided they perform well I reckon the test of a manufacturer is how they stand behind their product and it looks like these guys do.

I love my Cardboard. I got a go on several of the earlier prototypes and was immediately hooked. I've been riding them ever since.

So would you recommend a carboard as a first time board? im thinking wakestyle or freestyle.

Would cardboards be good for bindings too?

thanks for the help lads. been a great help. oh and Cardboards lied to me, said new range was out within 10 days and that was 12 days ago...whinge.

They are delayed cause there's trouble with a late shipment of fittings.
This is a pretty standard problem for everyone.

Yep you can spec binding fittings.
Go a wake style board if your kiting flat water, if your heading out wide the free ride is the go. It will turn better.

Im also hanging out for my NEW one.

they have a special insert for bindings thats worth getting as you put a hell of a lot of more force on the board than with straps. (i think, im going off info from some one else after i riped an insert out from a kiteloop to fail.
