What planet are you on Macker, we are talking about launching people and showing them the right way if they doing it badly , not paid kitesurfing lessons?

Or are you just trying (badly) to start something?

We were new at kiteboarding at some stage. Help them out, tell them the best way to do something. Only take a minute of your time and sh^t, you might score a mate.

we were all new but we weren't all stupid.

Had a guy catch my kite yesterday, all session without crashing the beast. He lands it and puts it half down in the water instead of on the beach. I Seriously don't think he has the mental capacity to operate a kite and board at the same time.

maybe he wasnt even a kiter and was just trying to be helpful landing you even tho he didnt know how?

the first time i landed someone i just dropped his kite in the shallow water and walked away..i didnt realise it could relaunch, or that maybe he didnt want to dry it...dont just assume because someones on the beach they are a kiter.

I launch/land anyone. If they're a noob and they're not sure how far up/down wind they need to be, I'll either move the kite into the right spot myself, or I'll give them hand signals to tell 'em which way to walk (depends on how much room we got to launch in). I also tell 'em I'm not letting the kite go until I get a solid thumbs up from them. No confusion and no crazy 'hot' launches then.

In my experience, all noobs appreciate the help. I know *I* did when I was learning! It's only fair I return the favour.

not if they are complete noobs. Sometimes you have to stop them from launching, for their safety and others. It might be the easy way out just launching someone and begineers often take it the wrong way if you refuse to launch them. I know I won't launch someone who isn't ready, or able.

I'm a newb (had a couple of lessons) from Brighton and have landed and launched many kites safely and successfully. Advice from the more experienced kiters is greatly appreciated. Haven't had any bad experiences with other kiters yet as most if not all seem ready, willing and able to help out.
