Thank you for painting our passion in a good light too!!
Having experienced rescuing people - and though it through have you changed anything in your kit in case it happens again to make it easier??
Cheers

I don't think you can really change your gear much,a bigger kite would have helped ...from my experience the other day I learnt a couple of things though.... you definitely need to take into account the person's/people's state of mind quickly and in this case I had to determine who
was in the least panicked state, which is the one I gave my board to as he would be out there the longest and the big guy (about 120kg) would have sunk my board so it was useless to him....i took in the guy who was yelling at me to save him and seemed to be the most
stressed 1st ..it was super choppy, waves coming from all directions and actually hard to communicate verbally and the mistake I made was I got to close to him and washed into him and as people do when in that situation they are desperate to hold onto something and he just grabbed my bar (i guess because he saw my hands there) sending the kite diving,i quickly corrected it and then he went for my leash until I grabbed his hand and put it on my harness....so when I went back out for the big guy instead of going right up to him as he was having trouble staying above the water and thought he might drag me under I got him to reach out for my hand and i pulled him in towards me and put his hand straight on my harness, the 3rd guy felt a lot better having my board to float on and relaxed a bit ....this might help another kiter who finds
themselves in a similar situation...
