Seems like you guys pay a lot for kites... here on Maui you can get an 09 kite for at least 50% off if not more. Since the 2010's just came out you can get a brand new 09 for at least 20% off.

I'm new to kiting so I've been looking at prices a lot.

Could someone talk about what you would look for in a used kite. For example... what are the signs of too much wear?

Would you ever consider buying a kite from a school? They have kites that are 60% off, and to me look brand new. Seems like a good way to get into kiting.

Im after a 08 or 09 Flow 10m, swap for a pair of as new joustings sticks .

Don't suppose you'd take an 04 13m and an 06 16m for the jousting sticks? Both have had major 'reinforcements'
