Laurie, can we have a new menu heading called "Soapbox", so that all the judgemental, sanctimonious, fun policeing, committee orientated people wishing to impose their ranting and raving on if you should kite with a kid, wanting to report night kiters, rules for this and rules for that, can impress the hell out of each other on their own special place.
I reckon that we're just experiencing a "flare up" because there are a couple of polarizing topics .. tandem kiting & night kiting. This time will pass.
It's windy as heck here in WA and you'll at least find the WA crew more relaxed .. green arrrows every afternoon as far as the eye can see....

its where all the rubbish posts should go for sure
..and herein lies the grey area .. the moderators definition of 'rubbish' -vs- posters definition of 'a very important issue'.

I have copped a fair bit in the past too.
Hats off to GF .. he fully copped a serve, but took it on board and moved on. Noice. Some posters hold onto past forum posts like it was their first born child*.
(* insert kite, or board, if you have no first born child.)

That's a pretty sound policy. When this forum started, it had 7 terms & conditions if you wanted to play:
1. Be good to others.
2. Keep it fun.
3. Keep it clean - no swearing, harrasement etc.
4. Keep it fun.
5. Keep it legal!
6. Keep it fun.
7. No Advertising.
It's now 5 pages long (

Do you reckon we would have enough inflamed topics to fill the new category?
Given enough viewpoints, I'm open to suggestion...
