What do you think other brands are using from the rhino?
There are many ways to rig a 5 line system most are not related to the way north do it
The vegas is a good c kite so what there a plenty of other good ones too like the torch and fuel etc both of which have an equally long history
Iron heart well the early ones were pretty sh1t and north denied there were issues but no doubt they claim they invented push away releases
The rebel haha, what a joke to say that kite has changed the industry lots of north heads love it but also lots hate it and all the issues it's had including lots of stupid design weirdness like battens and valves that auto peel off etc
Technobabble kite cloth waaaahaha that double rips top and coated fibers has been in sailing for we'll over 15 years
Like I said north heads are deluded so are north designers
well said sir!
im not here to protect the brand, as it holds its own fine as one of the worlds leading kite brands.
I simply replied to the starting comment which was so open and uneducated.
Ok its 2013 and the rhino is now 10 years old but in its day it was one of best kites you could buy. It set the benchmark for power, jumping and loft.
5th line was first used by north and then it was adapted by others.
The vegas. in the early days, was a wakestyle industry standard.
Unfortunately the other Ckites you mentioned are not as old as the vegas and both haven't changed in, what, 5 years where as the vegas has continued to evolve with the wake style movement.
An yeh, if your a sicko, hardcore, unhooking mad man then the rebel might not be your bag.
But for a kite to suit people all the way from extra fresh beginner to longtime pro's like Sky Sol, is a pretty good feat.
as JBF said, if you dont like them dont ride them.
