^^^ kiterboy do you ever contribute to discussions or just have a crack at people (in as short a form as possible)

I take it you can't read?

Was my reply to you in the 100mil thread too long?

No, it is the fact didn't counter Stamp's assertion with any kind of opinion, you just said "toughen up princess"
I often disagree with Stamp but never felt the need to have a crack at him/her

Nor did you offer a contrary opinion to mine in that 100mil thread, you just called me a d!ck (after heavily editing my post to quote it)

Sorry dude, 2 posts in 12hrs have been personal attack with no substance so if the shoe fits you may have to wear it.

What ever you reckon chuckles.

Didn't call you a dick, just said it was a dick thing to say.
You made a couple of comments, I pointed out your particular comment showing a lack of imagination, then later expanded on it.
"heavily edited" geez, get a grip; are there some rules I should be following?
I didn't twist anything you said, as you seem to be trying to do about my comments.

And FYI- I did offer a contrary opinion to you, you said it was too much, I said it wasn't and that you lack imagination for saying it.

Stamp didn't have a cry at me for making my comment here, he probably thinks I'm a dick, who cares?

But to expand on that, harden up, everyone gets to use public facilities, get used to it, you can't lock people out just cause you're better at something than them, or feel you're more deserving for priority of access.
If the park isn't running efficiently so everyone gets a fair crack, then it's the park management, not the people with lesser ability than those who proclaim greatness.

Sit back and chill out, grab a cup of water and a small bag of cement...

Short version - Stamp said some people ruin it for others.
If you believe otherwise you are living in la la land.

If you can't handle somebody saying some people were inconsiderate at the cable park, I know who nees to harden up.

Short replies like both of the ones we are talking about read a bit abrasive, and would not be used in person, so why use them online? All I am saying is a bit of politeness doesn't go astray.

You really need to take the time to read things properly, chuckles.

Easier to live in your own reality I guess.

yep, i was having a whinge. i don't think that anyone should be excluded from riding, i'm just a cable kook myself. but i get frustrated when people seem to have no thought for others who are riding at the same time, and the inconsiderate ones often turn out to be kiters. rowdy summed it up pretty well.

someone mentioned three lakes. my post was wishful thinking that a park could run a separate lake for those who don't want to hit obstacles or load up on the corners- everyone would be happy. the crowds would thin out and a cable session would involve more than just waiting in line for old mate to fall off his shinn monk...

I agree, three lakes if done that way would be a good way to manage the different levels of skill.

i hope one lake is reserved for kiteboarders who just want to carve, who never go near obstacles or take any risks, who don't give the other 30 riders in the queue any thought, and who come away from a day of going round the lake doing nothing and proclaim how easy and boring cable is....

(sorry for the rant but kiteboarders have ruined my cable session on more than one occasion0

Excuse my ignorance but why does someone else's lesser riding effect you?

Is there a rule at your cable ski park that says “you are not allowed to use a kicker, slider or load up at the corner if someone else is mowing the lawn”?

Edit: Ok maybe they don't fall off cos they never try anything and consequently slow other people's session...

How kiters mostly wreck cable 1o1:

1. They ride endless laps -
Never trying a thing just content with moving around and around while others are waiting in line. People can be waiting half an hour to have a crack at one obstacle and possibly fall straight off while these kooks just continue forever in circles.

2. Carving back and forth -
Once they are past the point of being content doing straight laps they decide to try and "send heaps of spray" at any opportunity they get. Carving back and forward as hard as they can on their flat little boards pulling the cable back and forth and making it nearly impossible for anyone else riding to do anything... They usually also fail to send a decent spray.

3. Killing the cable -
Once they are content with sending spray at every opportunity, they use the other times when not sending spray to stop the cable. They do this by trying a ****ty little gayley, not really getting off the water, holding on till shear death (like they do kiting) and then pinging the rope up into the gears and cables... This usually takes between 30mins and a day to fix depending on how well they f#ck it.

Thank you for spreading your knowledge again Rowdy, now it makes sense, you need to be legit to have a go.

Unfortunately, I personally preffer watching a beginner having a blast at carving for 3 laps and coming out with a huge grin than watching your skate derived budies attempt a massive dingle dongle flick flap fop and blow it after 20 meters then come out screaming agro full of attitude.

Once again, we shall agree to disagree

a few friends of mine have a finger in this pie trying to get it happening. im so pumped for this to happen!

so everyone else can quit ya bitching, neck up, sign that form and post it to rocko council and get this happening make sure you get friends and family to sign too, more good vibes the council gets the more chance there is this will actually be approved.

Hey charl, first up props to your mates giving this a go. I'll certainly be giving and drumming up support. I don't see any reason why it won't be approved :)

Being friends with these guys, do you have any idea the timeframe they have in mind for getting this up and running after council approval?

I think this is fantastic and well deserved for Perth / WA in general. What else do they have for entertainment - Freemantle and yuppy boats to gloat over?!
I would like to speak to who ever started this, so I can start one here too in Victoria on Cherry Lake. Hell yeah... anything is possible!

it's a PDF download link so when you click on it it will ask you what program you want to open it with or where to download too etc.. e.g. on my mac i just tell it to open with preview.

or if it's not working scroll through this link and you will find a lot of good info

I've collected a bunch at work (I knew that donating every time someones kid is jumping rope for cancer research or whatever would pay off), a bunch of which are from Rocko residents.

Circulate this **** of facebook, email it to your friends, tell your mum, I want a cable park in Perth.

yeh had a chat to the guys that were setting this up when i was at cable in cairns.. sounds awesome they said hoping to be set up by christmas next year.. thats if this is the same crew.

Btw to stamp and crew pretty sure they will just implement a one lap rule when things start getting a bit hectic its what they do in cairns when things get a bit crazy doesnt really affect me though i rarely make a lap anyway :)

3 lap rule is good because you get 2 laps in to hit obstacles and refine what you can do and on your last lap you can go big and try something new because either way you have to come off!

just keep signing those papers and sending them in!! more going in the better our chances of having something to do in the off season and on those no wind scorchers mid summer

I'm sure if you fill it out and scan it then email it to the council it will be great.

or even pm me with a copy and i can forward it.

Spoke to the big dogs behind the operation, they don't want any finer details going out to the public just yet until it's ready to present, keep your eyes open for the Facebook page and the official website to launch.. I've had a sneak peak at what's to come and it is looking unreal. that is all you get to know so keep waiting impatiently

Okay guys, cut off date for the applications is 3rd December 2012. Council approval is the only thing being waited on before the project is a go ahead, have your say, get all your friends and family in on it!

Good work mate, i'm throwing a few more in the mail this week also, haha sent a few in but haven't even sent my own one yet! woopsie.

Please do understand that the people who have purchased the land, organizing everything and doing all the hard work are not the same people as the "cable park for perth" facebook group so go to that link i posted to keep track of all the developments.

Ben and Simon Hurrey both need a big ups for stepping to the plate.
