The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow depends on many factors and parameters. For example, an African Swallow would tend to travel at a different velocity than an European Swallow. Furthermore, their flight patterns are different, so their instantaneous velocity at a given point will almost always be different. However, technological advances have given way to being able to use swallows to transport husked coconuts across large distances, enabling us to use coconuts on a daily basis, provided we have a large contingent of willing swallows ready to make a nonstop convoy for X amount of time, or however long we wish. Swallows can also be modified, as attaching a 50 newton rocket propulsion system on a 1 kg swallow will result in an acceleration of 50 m/s(2), which is of course negating any air resistance, since swallows have been recorded as outer space fliers. I hope i cleared any doubts about this matter.

Think that'd depend on how she handled the coconuts

Female African Swallows aren't migratory, and don't live in tropical climates so therefore do not have access to Coconuts.

However, the Mutual murcantile blah blah Insurance company is wind powered, although only a square rigger.

Maybe if we introduce these guys to the technology of Kites the coconuts could be part of a new wave of corporate piracy. They could arrive quickly stun their opposition with mamoth bombardments of marketing BS and explosive coconuts with no redeeming aerodynamic qualities.

WAIT> I'm thinking of that Kamikaze squad again. didn't their leader get carried to florida by a European swallow.

Back 2 the topic sorry guys - seeing ur having such an entertaining time as I can tell

I got out today

My bladder blew when I was pumping it up though, but at least it will only cost $60 to replace it with a brand new bladder I still managed to get out with Henry's 12m North kite in 10-15 knots (predicted 15-20!), and loved it... I can't wait till the consistant winds kick in now...

I'm getting hooked on kiting now [}:)]

Yeah, Henry has a 12m North Rhino and it's orange - Do you guys know each other?

It was only about 10-15 knots when he was out there and it was underpowered for him, so he gave me a whirl, and it was wonderful. I had it on 'full power' and it turned like nothing else; not too fast, very responsive and excellent and smooth to ride. I have only ridden a 6m Caution before, my 10m Cabrinha and this kite, and it felt great, even though it wasn't that strong. Lucky one guys, I wish we had 17 knots here, but at least we got out.

Ah heck, the poor guy- It's just one of those days I think where all kiters have something go wrong - my poor poor (kiting) bladder

I pumped up all my stuts, started pumping the leading edge, and after about four pumps, it just blew! For no apparent reason! The inside bladder wasn't twisted or anything, so I had a look at the bladder, and there was a huge 15cm tear! Just under $60 from Goodtime to get a brand new bladder, and have it put in, so it's not too bad.

Just the pick of the draw I guess - It can happen to everyone...

I heard a bladder cost one of my mate $180, but maybe that was for the bladder and struts... I couldn't believe how comfortable it was to ride another kite! It felt just the same as riding my kite, but unfortunately it didn't have the ease of recon re-launch, and I also think it had to do with the wind only being 10-15 knots and not gusty. I can get the kite back tomorrow, but it wouldn't be of use because I had uni form 8am-5pm, and prac on thursday. I sure hope the weekends as good as it says
Thanks poor-rell - I can't wait to get out there again!

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

No, now go away before I taunt you a second time.

You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, you sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called "Arthur King," you and all your silly English K-nig-hts.

Go and boil your bottoms, you sons of silly persons!

Well, that's no ordinary rabbit.

That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!

Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!

What's he do? Nibble your bum?

Well, we'll not risk another frontal assault. That rabbit's dynamite.

“What, ridden on a horse?”

“You're using coconuts!”

“What?”

“You've got two empty halves of coconut and you're banging 'em together!”
