That would be like kiting in ya jocks in our winter.
Looks like a bit of ice building on the chickenloop / safety in a few shots, any safety issues with that Christian?

yo guys, this takes be back i was an army clearance diver in kiel in the mid 80s, i thought it was cold in hameln working on and in the river weser but kiel was insane, bad memories of breaking ice before we could get in the water, bad head freeze practicing mask off drills, and tasks on the bottom of the sea bed without mitts, we,d cut our hands pretty bad and not realise till we got to the surface, dont know what was worse the cold or the stench of piss from our well used dry suits, i used to drink about 8 cuppas knowing id have a supply of warm piss for my drysuit, aaargh it was blisss, if you guys come to the west of aus id be keen to catch up and have a couple of beers, had some fun times supping on your local brews with the locals,

Thank all of you for your positive feedback...

We can not go of season here in germany , we are kitesurfing the whole year... you just need a good wetsuit and balls of steel

@cauncy: thank you for your invitation... for sure we come a long when we are down under :)

@all: would be nice to meet up at the first time when we are down under for meeting new people and hanging around :)

@Akwa: we are going to perth in november... When the seabreeze already starts in November we will stay maybe one week or two.... otherwise we head up north to hedland and down the coast back to perth... where we will stay a longer period around x-mas and new years eve... will give you a shout when we arrive down under :) thanks for your offer!!

@wdric: maybe you are right , but we are no "bad euros" that come to destroy your sport ;) i know you all hate us euros... sometimes we are nicer then you think :P by the way , had a perfect bordie sesh yesterday here in germany ;)

That looks like a fun place to ride, apart from the temperature! How long can you ride before your control bar freezes up?. If I was you I would riding without a donkey dick so I could release if things went wrong.

You were lucky. I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down at the mill, and pay the mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad would kill us, and dance about on our graves singing "Hallelujah."

Seriously though, there is a fine line between bravery and stupidity. I'm not sure which this falls into

To put this into perspective I'm a thoroughly acclimatised QLDer. I won't venture into water less than 20 degrees C even with a wettie.
