progression is a state of mind.if you dont give up you are progressing if you are loving it you are progressing,if your kite was from 2001 and stays pumped up and you are loving it you are progressing.if you cant spell and some **** gives you **** on the internet you are progressing.doesnt matter what these guys tell you if you can learn and progress on a 2004+ kite for your first kite you will not only be better than them, it would have cost you bugger all.and it will have all the safety bullsh!T THE GEN Y preach about.

we all know the thousands of threads like this one have started and have gone absolutely nowhere
and guess what neither will this one all people will say is "this kite is good , no that kite is crap" RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE
best advice to take is what ever kite you learn on is the best kite for you to fly because all kites are different and if you fly a 09 flow when you are taught and you go out and buy a rev you will launch the kite and say "This doesn't feel rite" and it will prolong your progressing.
Frankly the newer the kite the more depower and saftey you will have if you don't want to be hassled with kites inverting, having your lines tangle the newer the harder it is to stuff up.
And next time you post use the search button as i stated earlier there has been countless threads with the same questions
