It all seems to be legit.
I can list my ad for free, with images. I chose not to display my mobile, that's ok too. I submitted an enquiry and it came straight to my mailbox. No middle man. Nothing dodgy with that, just a poor attempt to get a classifieds up and running. I remember seabreeze was in its early days not as good as it is now. Give it a year or so and it will be gone.
So, not a scam just highly unethical business model - scrape ads from others, SMS spam potential sellers. Not the way to go about building a reputable business!
I'm the owner of www.bid4kite.com and here it is how things went: I ordered this website months ago to a friend of mine, the lastangel you're talking about (a guy I used meet at seaside when kiting) since I have no web/programming experience to develop it. He has been updating me every now and then while building it and he last came out few days ago saying it was ready. He told me he would have asked users from other website if they were interested to put their ads on bid4kite after checking if it was legit or not. Yesterday I noticed there were plenty of ads already up and running and checked google analytics and notice some strange flow from a direct referral and this was seabreeze. That's how I saw this thread and discovered the way he developed the website and get all those ads, which is not what I meant at all. Anyway I'm now here to really apologize for that management and I'm telling him to cancel all the ads he took this way. Lastly I want to specify that there is obviously no man in the middle system in it, but just a site to put in contact buyer and seller as some of you correctly stated. I really don't know how to apologize other than cancelling all those ads.
