Its not neccessarily designed to be better but an alternative setup to the standard IDS,some people preferred the bar and loop set up prior IDS so this kit gives you both IDS(not quite as easy to reach but still there) and the benefits of switchblade 3 set up.some may feel it turns quicker, but there are a few variables that may play a part in that, personally i def prefer the centre lines coming all the way down and the swivel on the loop so i can easily untwist the lines rather than always looping my kite to untwist them, because in the surf i tend to loop one way depending on direction im surfing.

I have the pro kit on one of my bars. The stock bar is the safest option with a light, smooth bar feeling. The pro kit has a fraz more pressure on the bar, but also a little more feeling and steering control. I prefer the pro kit cos I rarely throw the kite to IDS, but like the ability to reach up to one of my front lines when self landing and being able to unspin front lines manually. It's very similar to the SB3 bar except there is a neat grab handle above your depowers that activates the IDS.
Hey Dj, I think the IDSX is the best yet, very smooth in the air, but time will tell if there is a weakness. The SB3 was a classic kite. I personally though their only weakness was turning speed in the bigger sizes, and limited wind range. If you're happy with the range, hang onto it.
