Has anyone used the 2009 firestarter? As I said I have the 2007 one and Im just about to buy the 2009 one. Is it "better" than the warrior 2?

Also. what kind of handle pass leash does it have on it? I understand that it has its own integrated handlepass leash but Im not sure which one.

Which handlepass system is better and has anyone used either?

I have been selling De Kine for 2 years but due to problem with distribution I had to look to other brand to stock for my shop.
Of course I have to keep in consideration value for money!!!

I was really surprise from the quality and comfort of the Flying Object...
A very good OZ product with a very low price tag!!!

For sure there are more fancy harness out there and maybe even better but give a look at a FO ... for me best value for money harness I have seen so far.

I've just been shopping and ordered a liquid force comp.

Due to living as far away as is humanly possible from the ocean, (in the UK, at least), my local kiteshop only had Liquidforce and Dakine harnesses to try - about 10 harness styles in total. (Why someone would start a kitesurfing shop as far inland as they have, I've no idea. But I have to say I am thankful they did)!

I found the LF comp much more supportive than the dakines I tried, (due to the high back and, pehaps the plastic outer shell), and it was the most comfortable of the LF & dakine harnesses.

Less freedom in movement than the dakines, but I have a weak back, so was happy to give this up for the support aspect. It also felt to me like it had more padding than the dakines and the LF luxury.

It doesn't have a retention strap to prevent the hook from rising, but if this proves to be an issue for me, I'll canabalise the harness and sew one in! However, I'm not expecting any problems and only expect the hook to rise if I decide to continuously sit in the oceon with the kite parked directly above me! As it happens, I'm planning on doing more riding than floating, so all should be fine.

Compared to the dakines I tried, the LF harnesses were much quicker to take off - the dakines required loosening off 2 straps and buckles each side of the bar, and the buckles were covered by neoprene, (presumably to protect them from lines). I thought that this could get a little annoying each time I finished kiting, but also prove even harder to undo after a 4 hour blasting session.

As a bonus, I prefer the look of the LF comp harness to anything else out there. Definately no porn implications with this one! However, looks really did trail on the priority list, compared to comfort.

The LF also had a quick release on both sides on the rear kite leash connection point, for when things look terminal. A nice feature, I thought, which Cabrinha look to have adopted this year

I'm about a size 34, (after managing to shift 2 stone in weight - don't applaude me, I should never have allowed myself to get that heavy), and I found the XL (36 to 38) to be the best fit. Infact, it gave me room to get fat again AND it gave me adjustment for when I manage to slim down a bit more. Saying that - I do have broad shoulders and a chest to match, so I expect that influences the sizing somewhat. (I know shoulders don't affect my waist, but I'm trying to paint a picture here, alright)!

I've seen some photos of the 2010 range, so asked for a discount for the 2009 comp from the shop, since I'm sure they will want to clear stock for the new range. Waiting to hear back from them on Monday!
