The atom is great. A little lacking in control in light winds but is the only hybrid that I will unhook and feel comfortable with( 6 yrs of c kites does that to you). For hooked in you need to tweak the chicken loop line and rear lines for a good feel on the bar and to be able to reach depower strap. Bombproof construction. Maybe good for kiting in Thailand(booooom!!!) Don't go0 4 the Link. It falls out of the sky without notice( most amazing thing I've seen a kite do)

in the last 2 weeks i have tryed the atom, hypertype, havoc
atom (12) was a really nice all round kite although i didnt feel comfortable with it to go hard on it but it has hang time
hyper type (7) (12) very similar to the atom in the 12, same depower but the hypertype lost all its momentum when you sheeted out were as the atom you could just pull it back on and you were off again. more pop less hang time. the 7 was a twitchy kite to play with. to fast for unhooked because in a trick you would not correct it when its moving all around the window... started a raily with it at 45 and ended with it on the opposite side the havoc though has got me spending money though. its awesome unhooked and basically a c with masses of de power although i couldnt get the jumping right with it.
my 8m ninja star is still a better kite 4 wake style and big boosting than the kites i have tryed although they do have lots of hang time. take into account it takes a new skill to get a sle to jump well though and i have limited experience on them
