Today would have been good although wind was stronger in the afternoon up to 26 knots, look out for mon-wed next week as rain predicted then clearing friday for the weekend

Are you planning on snow kiting or are you coming down just to ride, because if you are planning on kiting the later week will definitely be better as there is a small system coming through mon-tues this will mean strong winds and no vis out on the range,BOM forecast is good but you can also check out weatherzone look for the alpine forecast. As far as wind forecasts so far they are almost always wrong!! I just think in the mountains the wind is a lot more unpredictable than by the sea.
ps if you go onto the thredbo website don´t trust the wind gauge as it always measure 50% lower than what the wind really is!!

Wed moving house, but thurs and friday will be up on mountain, unfortunately working but will try come see you guys as will be cruising around basin area if not ask any of the other ski patrollers and they will radio me and hopefully I can catch up with you guys

Excellent times had .
Wed morn went out to kosi view and then headed towards charlottes p ass in 20kt winds with some 30 kt bullets .Flew on short 11 m lines and had an excellent seesion in sun softened hardpack with a nice hard base .Almost as good as fresh pow ,made heaps of tracks and destroyed the previously untouched snow .Headed back to Thredbo for lunch and skied the resort in the arv .No one there and great snow .Snowmaking area coverage is excellent at Thredbo and spring skiing is the best i've ever had .
Thurs greeted us with nukin winds and lots of windblown snow .Skied the resort and did the bluff about 50 times
Fri greeted us with sunny day and 15 -20 kt winds . Set up at the top of karels and headed out to the ramshead range and explored some new areas around the top of leather barrel creek .there is a ton of snow out there and with the forcast it will be very good for another 2 weeks at least .Wind died at about 12 and headed back to the resort at about 12.30 .Rode the lifts for the rest of the day . again no one there and were laying down fresh tracks in nice windblown from the day before and sotened hard pack under snowgums through the trees.wind picked up again at about 2 pm but we were pretty well spent and did a few more runs down crackers .Were still finding untracked corduroy down the side of the nastar race track.
An epic september get away again .good to meet Graeme and meet new friends on the hill and out the back .thanks to Tim for the chauffer service down there and back
