Was quite gusty today I thought,, Gave me no confidence.

Was still fun....

I went to go try a few tricks in behind the sand bank, but even with only 3 of us, it felt way to busy.... And I ended finishing session early.

Couple times today I felt like was going to get tangled up, can everybody please take a look over your shoulder before you do a transition jump / change direction.

I've found that 4/5 riders can share the same section of Flatwater comfortably when a rotation is established, but it only takes one rouge Kiter that wants to do his own thing and it all turns to ****.

I'd like to add 4 years ago i was sitting on my ass in the kiddy pool, no idea i was in the wrong area until i was politely informed i was in the middle of the advanced area, after which i moved on, no big deal, i just didnt know.

We actually told people and been told to get knotted, once by a female instructor (not from a school, helping a mate).

Was good wind today but too many learners in this are area (this applies to you if you were one of the guys on a blue Rebel, the guy on the core or the guy on the dark kite I didn't recognise). And no, you are NOT even close to being good enough to be there.

What time was this?
What kite where you on?

I'm on a Cabrinha Switchy either a black 8m, light green and red 2013 10m and a dark green with red tail 12m and I ride there lots and have tried and nearly master all of the advanced moves as per the "Progression DVD". So come say hi and tell me off about my riding style if you wish.

I occasionally get in peoples way as they do to me, and that will continually get worse as more people get into our awesome sport, so as well as being an advanced rider you should also be a patient rider.

I like the idea of having sections along the beginners foreshore e.g Down wind body drag set off point, Basic Kite flying section, and a set off section where once gone you have to go to the end then walk back up before setting off again, As well as signs to define the advanced area. The beach would work much better that way.

Licencing would ensure revenue to build and maintain such areas because we all know that not everybody becomes a member of KBV.

P.S There was nobody kiting at St.Kilda fest. Wicked. but too many people to watch me crash into the water a million times.

I was in St Kilda last weekend and watched all you guys having a blast but felt sorry for you all. You all kite in the same area with no room to fart, come to Tassie and ride anywhere you want with nobody jumping down your throat because have your L plates. We have great waterways and the best beaches and all clean. But don,t all come together or we will have the same crowded waterways you have up there. Do yourself a favour an come down and calve up Tassie. Happy Days.

I had probably the best Session ever at st Kilda last fortnight. Was 22kn, gloomy, epic wind and looming skies. Me and one other hard dude had kiddy pool all to our selves at high tide, so amazing. He was doing sweet kite loops over the sand bar. Best day ever.

Hey guys. I am Kilda local and I ride blue Rebel & green Vegas. Dunno what I had on Monday to be honest but definitely no one was shouting on me and I am sure there were more people to "shout" on ... I am not advanced yet but going throw progression advanced section (kiteloops, rileys, etd). What time was it?

My 2c, I know how ridiculously busy can Kilda pool get on the weekends so I think we should be more tolerant when it's not so busy and let other people enjoy the flat water as long as they keep upwind/downwind rules / no tailgating.

It's just one lovely ocean and great sport so we should take it easy ...

Couldnt agree more, im far from been an advanced kiter but i enjoy the pond as when i do try my new tricks i dont have to worry about the possibility of been so far out in the bay if something goes wrong.
I tend to only kite there during the week as well as i dont like the busy weekends

One more thing. Was thinking about it a bit. I think it's similar to skiing. I've been skiing all life and you can't really shout on some spastic who is riding black slope just because you think it's all yours though. As you are advanced, you are (or should be) more responsible ...

That's why the first post "what you have to know to enjoy kiddie pool" sounds so ridiculous to me - aboslutely no offence.

Have a great weekend guys.
