I'm pissed off, these hippy wasted bandits are just scum.

I've have had my ute hit twice now by piece of **** vans.

Are they even allowed to camp there?

I'm sick of the glass on the beach and the dodge **** they get up too....

knowbody prob saw anybody hit my ute but if you see a van with orange paint on the rear/left side please get photo and number plate.

I don't care what they do, just don't do it where I kite!!!

But yeah, it's not cool to find big scratches and missing paint on my expensive and less than 6month old ute.

Grrrrrrr.

And I didn't even get a kite today! WTF.

They not your normal hippy backpackers, they would possibly leave a peace note to protect their Karma,

these are more your international, young ,broke tourists who don't give a stuff and show no respect for anybody else.

I'd say as a group they have prob damaged quite a few vehicles in St kilda and partically this street, just look at the multicoloured corners/dents etc.

Does anybody know how to detail out scratches, I've got touch up paint but no confidnce in trying repair.

Has there always been this many and just haven't noticed?

Or is it just because of the construction and lack of space up at top beach?

I'd love for the police to come move them all along, but I guess they somehow manage to get around the law as they are living in vans?

I'm glad the bay is upwind.

They don't care about tickets as most don't even transfer the rego into their names to save costs, and even those that do are leaving their ** boxes, rubbish and mess and flying home.

So rack up a pile of tickets and see if Australia chases them up in Europe. Can't do it interstate so can't see that happening. x

just try to replace the word"euro" in your repeated verbal abuse by any other group of people, say "african, jew or asian" and check the effect of yoru comments... you guys are sounding like the ku klux clan at its worst...

perhaps you have experienced way more damage than a scratch to your brandnew expensive ute.

I am embarassed by such generalizing and hateful comments. There are better ways to deal with these things.
you really shouldnt be on this (or any) forum

Come on Tom, don't be so hard on the Suniguy. He's just an uneducated, racist bogan who insults 500 million people of 27 culturally totally different countries. I have no clue what "stinken" means, he probably thinks it is german, the poor bugger.

I'm surprised with your attack ?
Obviously I've had a vent at the "fact" my cars been damaged on two separate occasions.

It makes no difference what kind of car I drive, nor the religious beliefs or background of the people who have done the damage.

The council are also sick of these campers, and have this week made active efforts to move them on.

I guess you think it's fine to camp were ever you want, leave your rubbish behind, damage other people's property and generally show no respect for anybody else?

I've also stood on broken glass that has been left on the beach, however this could be from anybody.... So I will not point the finger.

I will be at St Kilda again tonight, I'm happy to apologise in person to anybody who feels offended by anything I have said.

I will continue to actively use this forum.

come say hello, I'm not a racist, I would hope most kiters and friends who actually know me would say I'm a nice guy.

Unfortunately as he pointed out, this hasn't nothing to do with being racist against Euros or anyone else, it has to do with backpackers who clearly have no respect for anyone else's property. Rightly or wrong, a particular country or region may bare the brunt of these complaints/insults, but it won't change unless the behaviour and lack of respect of these individuals change.

It is human nature to generalise. If you see Collingwood supporters constantly getting into fights and causing havoc at games, you will generalise and associate the club with this behaviour. The only way this will change is if the people (or their countrymen) actually start to make an effort to change this and force the guilty parties to change their ways. People are not going to turn a blind eye to the behaviour of individuals, simply because they are tourists and if the individuals continue to act in this manner, kiters down at the beach will start reporting them and making sure that they can't park at the beach.

Have you seen their vans?
The evidence of them hitting other vehicles is clearly visible.

I hear what your saying tho, I have been quick to judge a guilty party.

Only kiters and the travellers have been using the car parks in question.

The reality is that it could have been anybody with a white coloured, square shaped vehicle.

I love how quickly things can get out of context on these forums,, I'm simply upset that I've picked up a few relatively small scratches, in what was a new damage free vehicle.

And that the area i choose to kite has generally been overrun by a group of low budget mostly European travellers who live/sleep out of their vans in an area not designed for that.

Let me rephrase your statement: It is human nature to generalize if the persons IQ is <40. Generalizing shows that someone has no clue about or respect for other cultures. I bet you would not find it acceptable if someone posted about "stinken Aussi scum" because some low budget Aussi traveller behaves like a pig in Thailand or Indonesia.

If someone wanted to generalize picking "low budget, low respect traveller" instead of race, religion or origin would be the wiser option.

We are not talking about Africans, Jews or asians. we are talking about Euro backpackers that dont have any respect for this country.
Go spend a night with these European Travelers and get to understand how little they care about the country.
Im sure there are some great backpackers who abide by the law and treat our country with respect.
Im sorry I feel embarassed as an Australian when I see our country getting pissed on.

Suniboy,
You're not getting the point and I find it amusing how you are trying to justify your atrocious post. "Stinken Euro scum" is just full on racist. I'm a "Euro" myself, paying tax here, keeping the country clean and working for this country and reading your BS makes me livid!
I find it unacceptable for any person of any country to disrespect the rules especially when they are visiting but I find it equally unacceptable to insult the people of an entire continent for the actions of a few!

So by your definition the only people with higher IQ's than 40 are the Collingwood supporters. Sorry, mate, you're going to have a hard time selling that to anyone.

As someone else rightly pointed out, if Aussies are behaving like pigs in Thailand or Indonesia, then by all means, call it as it is and they deserve the title. If they behave badly then they're an embarrassment to the Aussie race and probably fall into the Bogan category which they rightly deserve.

What I'm saying is that only an idiot would generalize. Do you seriously think that ALL Collingwood supporters are hooligans? All? Seriously?
Anyway, I see you guys have the spirit: "like dogs and junkies". Go get them, Cronulla-style!
I just hope that -for the sake of this great country- you guys will never make it to an influential position. Good night!

WeirdEd, are you for real.

Australia is a great country, and most Australians are very polite and imbrace ALL cultures etc.

I've also moved to Australia, here is a sentence you might want to think about.

"IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, GO HOME. "

I think you must be the bloke with the low IQ if you expect Australians and the rest of the country to put up with guests behaving badly.

Respect gets respect.
