all getting a bit out of hand really.
Got to look at it from both sides really. We pay premium to live in WA and kite awesome beaches.
Kiting is blowing up, and there have been many crashes and investigations - leading to banning of areas.
We are worried about losing the right to kite here.
Guys like OFFri - great man, have a chat to locals, find out info/where toos, great stuff. Most are happy to chat bout it.
BUt there are plenty that rock up, park up for a long stay and snake/short tack/fly thru flags/steal ya pump etc. not cool.
Happy winds

Offri said..
Wtf... First I am not Euro.
Second I asked for advice on where to stay nobody said Free!!!
Third with this kind of hospitality why should I help the local economy.

At the end I bout gear from local stores, slept in local backpackers rented a van from local businesses and asked local kiters for the rules before entering each session. So again be f**k'n nice at least that's what I was raised on.

P. S. Thanks for all the advice from the nice people on this forum

we count eastern staters as euro's as well.

Ho Offri,

Hard to figure out why your enquiry got so much negative comment. You only asked for some advice.

Anyway, if you are still looking for somewhere to park, give me a call, our Perth back yard would suit depending on when you need this.

Hey Offri,
There is free camping / parking in the city - if you know where to look.
Places like the Ocean Beach Hotel, who own their carpark above the bottleshop just off Eric St in Cottesloe, often have a few Euro crew camped up in their vans. The council by-laws don't apply there (private land, owned by the pub), so you can live there for a few days. Like several of the well-intentioned but possibly insensitively worded posts on this thread:
- Please keep ya camping set-up quient and tidy, don't ruin it for others, including the neighbours who live near the OBH (we deal with enough crap from drunken locals as it is)
- please listen to the locals if they're giving constructive advice regarding rigging up and rules on the water - generally, it's because we're trying to a) keep everyone safe, or b) keep our beaches open for kiting, by not pissing off non-kiting locals.

Enjoy the wind n waves.
