Steam is building for "State of Origin 3" at Evans Head Aerodrome 2009.

The pressure is on Queensland to keep the Cup...

Not only from the NSW teams, but now it looks like Victoria & New Zealand could be joining us - so look out Cane Toads !

I have a small dilemma. I am a New South Welshman, I bleed BLUE for Christ's sake.
The trouble is I live and first Blokarted in Qld. I feel almost like a traitor in pulling on a maroon jersey, figuratively speaking.

Well 'broken mast' no-one will hold it against you if you sail under the Blue banner, after all... once a cockroach, always a cockroach. You do realize the trophy will only ever be in NSW whilst on display during the event.

We love our southern comrades but the friendship stops at handing over the Cup.

Judy Cox comments .... " I just heard that only five people are coming from VIC. I would have assumed that a team would need a minimum amount of people. Not fair if there are 20 people from NSW and 20 from Qld which then means that only five people from each of those states will count towards the point score??

Maybe should stick to just NSW and QLD and know we have max numbers?? "

On behalf of the NSW Blokart Club, I would like to remind everyone that State of Origin 3 is an Annual Freindly, Family Event - and is open to ALL STATES !

We welcome, encourage and applaud all the states, and their individual club members, that are getting themselves ready as we speak to devote their time, efforts and freindship to come together for a weekend of Family Fun, Social interaction & competition in November.

The Competition last year, which also had an uneven number of competitors, still managed to extend the hand of freindship to new clubs - Please remember, this is the Spirit of "State of Origin".

We are looking forward to Catching up with old freinds, and welcome the company of new freinds, regardless of their home state or club.

Had a talk to Barak- seems he is still on the Queensland team. Nice try port but his points will stay with us!
We were out doing laps Saturday arv and intend to clock up some more today.
More practice, more fun, better competition.
The 3m's got some run time which was a nice change.
Still trying to encourage more to come down for Origin, any chance of a preliminary entry list?

State of Origin - Ladies Open event.

No sailing experience necessary - just willing to have some fun and join in !

Entry fee same as the Kids Open Event $15, ..Trophy / Medals for placings.

We would like to encourage Ladies, our wives & our partners to have some fun also !

Freindly reminder: ALL ENTRIES CLOSE 31st October (approx 1 x week)

If anyone from Mackay area or south needs their Kart and gear transported down ($20 for kart) or a seat with us to drive down (share fuel), please contact me by email or phone (0439775595).
Departing Mackay Thursday 5AM, to stay overnight in Brisbane and drive through to Evan's Head. Accommodation can be arranged. Depart Evan's Head Monday AM for the return trip.
