hi there,
im thinking about buying a Zooter land yatch.

http://www.pure-rush.co.uk/store/

But im not sure. Stainless Steel material with a very low price if you compare it with the similar model of Blokart.

Have any one read any review of this land sailer?

thanks ;)

One thing that unnerves me a little about this style of landyacht is the risk of injury if your foot slips off the steering
There are quite a few with this feature [or lack of it] maybe I am being too wimpy
but they can be designed safer than that
It does have straps there but I wonder if thats enough

Firstly Kuzko welcome to the forum....
How does the price compare when converted to Australian $ and landed here?
It looks OK as a compromise between a Kite Buggy and a Land Yacht and would be great if you had an interest in both sports, but would be VERY twitchy with a 5.5m sail and with such a small wheel base.
The advantage of the Blokart is that it is a one design yacht with others sailing in Australia where as the Zooter would have a very small following in Aus.
[ I have made the assumption Kuzko that you live in Australia? ]
You may wish to think about building a Lefroy Mini if your after a low cost small yacht?

Kuzko, You might want to take a look at Pirrad's yacht here www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=50430
and here
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=50653

It is very similar to a Zooter but home built. No doubt he could give you some insight on how it performs. Cheers Cisco.

couple of things that would concern me.
The monofilm sail- the windsurfing guys throw them away after a very short life, as they crck , split explode.....
ie the material is not expected to have a long life. you have to be incredibly careful in the way you look after them. that is one bit that wiil not fold up small.
the yacht they are now calling the zooter as changed from the original in that an A fame has now been added. I assume the original " specially engineered "model must have twisted..
if you wanted to build something similar, its a doddle
If you dont want to build, let us know the price in Australia, maybe a chance to be a distributer ?

For 3700AUD (in todays money) plus freight, insurance and any other hidden extras I'd be getting a blokart.

Thanks for your answers people ;)

Im from Spain. Would be great being in Australia to sail and learn from you guys ;)

I was not really clear in my first post.

My idea is start a school/trainer/rental land sailers company here. I have wasted weeks searching all over the net and i have seen that there are a lot of manufacturers of land sailers, and i have noticed that Blokart if the most sold yatch in the world.

I know that, after the great success of Blokart, a lot of manufacturers show up, trying to win market, offering similar land sailers that Blokart at a lower cost.

I just have found some interesting land sailers:

-Zooter
-Blokart
-Seagull
-V-Kart
....a lot of them.

I think that Blokart is a bit expensive for the PRO version land sailer (2995€). I want the stainless steel pro version because i will use them in beachs and i think they will survive better than the classic or sport versions.

So i think that Zooter can be a possibilitie, but i havent found any experienced land sailer that have tested it. So thats why i asked for a review.

Zooter (4,5m sail) cost 1750€ (close the half of the pro blokart version). I assume that this can be for 2 reasons:
-Lower cost = poor
-Nice price to open market and expand the name of zooter (they are searching for retailers/distributors)

So, im just searching a nice land sailer to start my bussiness. As i said, Blokart is probably the best, but alse not the cheapest.

If you can tell me another alternative will be great.

thanks

For a hire business the Seagull "Ludic" or the English "Potty" may be fairly ideal. Another fine looking yacht is the Airtrack. Links to them below.

Seagull apparently have a program for starting your own land sailing business.

Hi Guys
I know nothing about the quality of the Zooter but the Australian importer from China is Charles Werb & his son Craig. I suggest for your sake you put his name into google & see what comes up, you could get a nasty shock.

The products are fine (if you like Chinese copies of blokarts and other yachts without local backup service and support)

I appreciate you are from Spain, but if your dealings are through Mr. Charles Werb and his sons (Australian distributor) or associates, then you want to do proper background search on him and any associated companies.
